A US Airways plane with 148 + on board just had a text book emergency landing.

Thankfully no casualties reported and the FAA just got all people on board accounted for; the pilot will be hailed a hero by tomorrow. Same goes for the emergency workers. It's about 16 degrees OUT of the water, hopefully no major cases of hypothermia occur.

Thank God this turned out the way it did, could have been far worse. I'm sure there are 148 + people even more thankful than me right now.

Just goes to show you that even a flock of geese can score a double critical.

The (emptied) plane floated past where I work at close to five, under a heavy escort. Pretty incredible.
