Anyone try this game yet?
My son and I bought a booster today and we found the game somewhat entertaining. Initially we were confused about a few items but to be truthful we were easily able to determine what was going on while we were playing.
Yes, I am a WoW player. Yes, I am at least borderline fanatic. The game was simple, fun and we had a good time.

I have these on my Christmas list. More than likely I will give the game a try with my son as well. Can you tell me how much bigger than a regular mini they are?
They are tall. Your smaller gnome character is about true 25mm size, with your drainei and orks being very imposing figures indeed. I would say the base of the figures is a good 1.5 inches across. I am at work and they are at home, so we're kind of stuck here. I'll measure them and add another post later.
I have to say that even the basic game is enjoyable, as you start to work out some tactics and attacks. It's very amusing how close the basic fundamentals really mirror the on-game mechanics. Very clever!

The guys and gals over at Upper Deck designed the boosters pretty well. Even though randomized, you're only going to get mini's of that faction. Between 3 friends we've opened just over two cases and we've gotten 5 Epics and almost every mini available. The scale is 40mm, so bigger than Warmachine/hammer.
Gameplay is rather balanced in that you don't have to spend mucho dollares to get a good team and have fun. Quick, simple, mostly straightforward rules make it a great just get together for an evening game, but is deep enough to reward competitive play.

And monsters are a separate faction?
thread resurrection...
Yes they are. Should point out that you do not know which faction until you open them though.
I am now thoroughly hooked on this game. It is a lot of fun and has two unique components that I have not seen in any other game. Time (ticks) as a resource, and variable points to win (honor). If you want to play a low cost critter (an troll shaman for example) you victory is smaller than someone who wants to play the Tauren paladin. I would go into more, but will see how much response this gets first.
I hope there are more people interested in this. I have not played WoW (to avoid the addiction) but as a mini game it is awesome.

I didn't play WoW to avoid the B-Net cheaters, but I used to love the Warcraft RTS games....
Sounds interesting, not in my budge atm tho!
