Has anyone out there played Confrontation before? I've seen the minis at stores before, and I'm starting to get the urge to pick some of them up. (I haven't painted a mini in so long, just looking at the models makes my paintbrush hand twitch) If anyone's played, let me know what you think. If it's pretty fun I might have to grab some.
Also, does anyone know of any good online stores I could get some of the metal figs at? Apparently they're not producing them anymore, and my local stores are starting to get low on stock apparently...

Confrontation is a fantastic game. I love the combat and magic system, and think it's superior to Warmachine as a tabletop skirmish game. This game apparently is pretty big in Europe, but hasn't caught on as well here in the US - which is a darn shame!
I've got a group of Wolfen that I play with my buddy once in a while, but would love to play more often. If you pick up the game, make sure you get a set of spell cards for your faction. The cards really help you build a skirmish group around a central theme.
The minis for this game are really top notch. Probably the best quality sculpting and materials of anything out there that I've seen. And there's a great variety of factions to suit just about any taste - dwarves, goblins, werewolves, celts, undead, etc. are all represented, and there are team up options as well. The down side is that they tend to be a bit expensive.
I believe Rackham now has a line of prepainted minis that they are focusing on, which may explain the lack of availability of the metal minis.

Yeah, the wolfen are the ones that have got me interested in it. And they're becoming damn hard to find. I've seen some of the prepainted ones they make, and I gotta say I'm not impressed. Compared to the detail on the metal minis, it just doesn't stack up.
Thanks for letting me know how it is tho' I'll have to keep my eyes open (and my wallet :P)

Paizo has a few of this minis at a good price. I Also recomend www.rackham-store.com. I'm a metal-mini fan and I must say that for me Rackham made the best metal minis, Privateer prees following next.
I you want the whole metal selection go the the rackham store, its a bit pricy but its well worth it. If you purchase over 100e the shipping its free. I receive the minis in Mexico so you'll have no problems getting it at the US.
I strongly recommend the Rackham products, sadly, confrontation evolved into plastic mini combat, but they still craft some awesome resin minis, check it up.

I love the confrontation and Hybrid miniatures -they're really beautifully sculpted. Like many, I think the Wulfen brought me to Rackhams models.
I used one as a Chosen of Malar in a Forgotten Realms game. Players freaked when I placed him on the table! :D
I'd also say they are harder to paint than your average Reaper or GW mini as well, the detail on Rackhams figs is a lot finer in some cases and you really have to be careful, keeping the paints very thin.
I've read over the rules and I have to say it reads like a fast and dynamic system -maybe one day I will actually play! :)
