I was driving to work today and a small cluster of deer crossed the road in front of me. There was a five point, 2 three points, and what I assume was a doe, since it lacked any antlers. The deer are never in the valleys around here this early in the season, which leads me to believe that it will be a long and cold winter for us.

According to the Weather Channel, it's supposed to be a warm winter. However, the Old Farmer's Almanac thinks it's going to be a cold winter. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

eh dodging deer with a car is a weekly event here. I have seen 6 this week alone. When you see birds in mass on the ground cold weather is normally close behind

Hitting a deer can ruin your day.

But yeah, elk would be worse.

So... You see deers while going to work. I usually see a just pigeons or hooded crows. -_-
Down here (México) the sign of winter coming its the northern tourists crossing from the airport. We also try hard to avoid hitting them. Well, maybe just to get their money.
