Here's a fun but otherwise useless rumor floating around

Johnny Depp and Philip Seymour Hoffman [both astounding actors IMO] are slated to play the Riddler and the Penguin respectively, but since there is by no means even a rough draft of a draft of a script and the fact that Seymour's publicist denies all this fervently, well like a said a fun but otherwise useless rumor. Thus far ...

I would love to see Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin. I never followed Batman much, so I know little about Penguin. I do know that Mr. Hoffman makes me feel icky. Why is that a good thing? He makes characters so believable, that I relate to them (Boogie Nights and 25th Hour specifically).

For some reason I like this idea. Hey it could be worse. And has been worse. Much worse. Far worse. I won't post any links, you know what movies of which I speak. I just wish they would do a descent Poison Ivy.
