So because of suckage I just need to vent. My house came out all right in the end, no damage, but my game room (a converted garage) has an issue that the concrete soaks up water and it comes in through the grout on the tiles (the grout being concrete as well). I learned this because all of the gaming stuff that was on the floor during our last play session: a folder full of reprinted single sheet monster entries to limit book flipping during game, a map folio, pathfinder #1 & #3 all got soaked and water damaged. #1 turned out all right, but #3 had pages stick together so I've lost some info from the bestiary section.
On top of that my Grandmother-in-laws house got flooded so now every day after work I have to go over there and help to pull water damaged carpet throw away her personal belongings and furniture and be a general calming influence. This leaves me too physically and mentally drained to run a game so I have stepped down as DM in my playtest group and am running a palladin.
It just really sucks how this storm came out of nowhere and wrecked my hobby.
