Kill Dr. Lucky and his Little Dog Too

I know that you have to stop the murder on Lucky if possible. But, do you have to stop the player from killing the Dog?

If so.. if you use spite tokens does the player get them? As he normally wouldn't get a spite token for the dog anyway I think not.

You do not HAVE to stop the little dog from being killed.

Indeed; letting someone else take out the yappy little dog, leaves you free to whack the old guy, without it raising the alarm.

Which begs the question; can you HELP another player whack the dog?
