Ship... what ship?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

So this may have been brought up before but alas i could not find it so heres my question!
Somewhere I read something about some sort of crash site for a ship of some kind! One that was not of Golarion in origin!
Can anyone give any insight to this (if any) and possibly point me in the right direction?
Thanx to any of you whom lend a hand with this... XP all around ;)

Numeria
The shards of twisted metal gathered by Numerian
wanderers and traded in all directions come from the
scattered debris of a great metal mountain that fell from
the sky many millennia ago, perhaps even before the Age
of Darkness. The enormous bulk was a vessel from the
depths of outer space, and when it broke up over the plains
of Numeria its destruction bathed the region in weird
energies that result in strange mutations to this day. The
largest fragment of the vessel, with a great many intact
cabins, dominates the landscape near Numeria’s capital
city of Starfall and is known as the Silver Mount.

mmm mutations...

Numeria doesn't have a bunch of talking apes running around do they?

Sounds a lot like the Barrier Peaks in Greyhawk. Actually, that's a nice little tribute.

Also, in "Hook Mountain Masacre" there is a ship of unknown origin in the middle of a forest that contained a map with unknown seas on it (probably pre cataclysm).

yeah... that is one of the things I thought was awesome about that adventure. A random hook just sitting there waiting to suck you in. So of course, I want to know more about that ship...

Yes, it does. Call themselves "humans" ;-P

Excellent!

I knew it was somewhere!
Thanx Taliesin!

Now is there any word of a module based upon the remains of this ship as of yet, or are we left to our own twisted thoughts to create a tale involving this metal mountain!?
Or any other related event for that matter!?

No planned module as yet, though I did write the beginnings of an outline for a three-adventure arc set there that I may instead turn into some sort of fiction project...

That was my ship, sorry about all the deaths, my bad.

Awesome News!

If you do continue this project, any hint as to when we may see something?

The Exchange

With all the talking apes maybe we should have Awakened Animals as a new group of PC playable races.....

/me powers down the photon cannon of megadeth on his orbiting flying citadel

Heh, that'll teach You human punks to buzz us space elves!

/me notices as Andre's cruiser breaks up in the atmosphere

Ooh, Rough landing! Good thing the mountains were there to break their fall...

Is it Technological or Mage-built?

A giant metal vessel?

Clearly it's dwarvencraft!

Of course it's dwarvencraft! Why would anyone even think anything else? Like an elf would be caught dead actually working up a sweat and making something.

Selgard wrote:

Of course. An elven vessel wouldn't have crashed.

Agreed!

Lets all hope it's not of Gnomish design or we'll never hear the end of it!

Wait ... shouldn't space elves be all logical and emotionless and only hook up once every 7 years?

Wrong ear-fraks.

Well... if I have MY way... it's a technological ship built by humanoid aliens who are closer to being human than they are elves or dwarves.

Expedition to the Barrier Peaks or Temple of the Frog, in other words.
