Holyjesuschristjeez!

Perhaps I am a bit behind the curve but. . .

This is a good movie.

First it's cool.
Then it makes you think, "WTF?"
Then its crippling badass.

See it.

yep.

tell your brother to see it, would you? I've been trying for months.

Yeah, that's not a movie for lightweights. I believe they captured the power of an ancient Greek tragedy, there. Brilliant movie; though the other 2 in the trilogy (only thematically linked) don't hold a candle to it. Just don't make it a date movie. Unless you're not hoping to get a 2nd date...

This movie was astounding!
It still haunts me.

Spoiler:
The fight in the hallway with the hammer! Wow. It's got to be one of the greatest fight sequences of all time.

My girlfriend tells me she would be happy to see this on a date!

I'd draw the line at 'Audition', though...

I have also been instructed to advise you to see 'Welcome to Dong Mak Gol', also starring Hye-jeong Kang.

As is usual with these films, I always come in half-way through, but the half I saw was very enjoyable.

There must be something wrong with me; I was sort of "eh" through the whole thing. I mean, it was OK, but wasn't nearly as "bada$$" as I was led to believe.

Liberty's Edge

Ever heard of Cho Seung-Hui?

First, you must have an awesome girlfriend. Second, yeah, "Audition" is a rough film; and I don't even think I saw the unedited version.

But if your idea of "tragedy" only comes from Shakespeare, the Greeks have a thing or two to tell you about it. And this film, to my mind, captures that level of darkness like few I've ever seen.

Audition: Gods that film is hardcore!

I'll let her know you think so!

And, to edit my earlier post; it's purely force of habit, but I should have said 'fiance'...:)

Hey, hang on there buddy! Is this news, or did I miss an update (you talk so much I have to ignore about half of it to just survive)

When's the 'big day'?

Sorry; I thought I'd told you...(whoops).
It must have been the week you missed.

August 30th.

I'm on my work pc at the minute - I'll send it when I'm 'at home' so to speak. I've replied to 'our' thread by the way. Now go to bed! I am!

I liked Lady Vengeance better. Old Boy was still good, but it reminded me too much of a toned down "Ichi the Killer". The unedited version of Ichi is ... well lets just say a film that starts off with the anti-hero's semen dripping off of a household plant of a girl he was perving over...and then when another girls nipples were cut off...well, Old Boy seemed like it was edited for TV to me.
