(Edit: In fairness, the Warlock class was, if I understand correctly, not intended to be used in the context of the 3.5 core rules, but as a part of the entire 'arcana evolved' alternate rules set.)I think you are confusing some things:
The Arcana Series was done bei WoC and is intended for use with 3.5. Monte has nothing to do with any 3.5 product WoC produced. The Warlock Class is an alternate PC Class intended for the use in a 3.5 game.
Arcana Evolved was written by Monte Cook and published by Malhavoc Press (Montes own Company). Arcana Evolved is an alternate PHB cum Setting Book. There is no Warlock Class in Arcana Evolved.
You can use Core 3.5 Classes and Arcana Evolved Classes side by side as their Power Levels are not so different as long as they only use Material from their on Books. So an AE Magister uses AE Feats and Spells and a 3.5 Wizard uses 3.5 Spells and Feats.
Thank you for correcting me on this; I occasionally muddle these books with 'Arcana' in the title. This removes a niggling doubt I had in mind over this news, and moves me from cautiously enthusiastic about it to enthusiastic.

I think the inclusion of Salvatore is still in the works... unless I've missed something.
I will openly admit without any shame whatsoever that I am a Drizzt fan (even though I pronounce it wrong) so IMO, Salvatore possibly being involved with Pathfinder is just too cool

Wow, got trapped in hyperlink hell.... Focus, Azzy, focus!
Wow. I'm glad to hear this news. I gotta say, when 3.0 came out I turned a critical eye towards the DMG (after the sheer crap that was the 2e DMG). After reading it, though, I was quite impressed--this was a *REAL* DMG. Monte did a great job on it, and I was severely disappointed to hear that he wasn't recalled to work on the 3.5 DMG. I'm glad to hear that Jason will get to pick Monte's brain.

Well, to be honest folks, I do not think we will be incorporating the 20 level spell system (its too damaging to backwards compatibility imo). There are some things that Monte is doing that I really like that will not fit into the design goals for the PFRPG. That said, he has published some of these great rules in BoXM and BoXM2, and they are just as compatible with the PFRPG as they are with 3.5.

Hello Jason,
does the cooperation with Monte only include adaption of some of the rules published in BoeM 1 & 2?
Or does he actually operationally work with you on those open issues heatedly discussed in these forums?
I'd welcome the latter alternative very much! (especially considering that it is basically just you working on this gargantuan project)
Cheers,
Günther

Monte posted a pretty good summary in his blog entry on the topic. I'd suggest giving it a read!

He's writing the introduction/preface for the book as said earlier by Mike.

As I said on page 4 (I think) and Lisa said somewhere else. People just don't like to read.

Whoo?
No it's [Ric Flair]WOO![/Ric Flair] :)
Just for my own edification - Is it true that the Book of Experimental Might I & II are not available for physical purchase? They are PDF or Print on Demand only?
I'd like to buy them, but only if I can buy a phsyical product.
Print on demand prints and ships to you just like if you would order it from Amazon. Sadly he has decided against a Complete BoXM sadly, but sounds like less than 10% of his sales would have gone that route so it's reasonable to not do the extra fiddling to get it into one book after the fact.

Thanks for the pointer, Victor!

My apologies for hurting your feelings, Sir Urza. I am not living in these boards and might have missed the information while scanning this 250+ postings thread.
Sir, I am pretty sure, though, that your valiant stand against board vandals will be valued highly by your liege lords. ;-)
Cheers,
Guenther

Save us Monte Cook, you are our only hope!
Once again we have a debate raging on one of the alpha threads: (*This playtesting one this time* ) about whether or not the third edition EL/CR system was supposedly designed to handle One PC on one monster fights with any degree of reliability.
Please, please, post to clarify and put an end to this madness. :D
