I love Iron Kingdoms, I'm playing in a tabletop game of it and we're part way through the big prewritten (The Witchfire Trilogy) and have enjoyed it a lot.
I have a warmachine army waiting to be assembled too *pets the cryx*
My group played through that trilogy when it came out. It was a Lot of fun. we still have references to things from that. Like our DM tried to go out of his way to make the girl with the sword not evil (i think CN?) but wanted her to make more powerful undead. This led to 'oops' moments like...
"the zombie-like creature's eyes blaze with malevolent fury as it rushes to attack, and tries to trip you"
"I smite evil"
DM: no effect, mindless undead are Neutral"
Players: how the F*** do mindless undead trip? what about its malevolent intelligence? it's taken 120 damage, thats not a normal zombie!
To this day, anytime we run into something that is blatantly evil, we get a chorus of interrupts as we all go "neutral right?"
usually a good laugh.
Nostalgia aside, the group felt that the overall plot and themes were really nicely done. 4-stars ;)

Me, too. I've been building Warhammer models and terrain for six months now (so far, no D&D players at my new location). I spent a month building a Chaos unit and a mines terrain board--every day, for three hours; every weekend, for four weekends, for some 12 hours-- not to mention the cost in materials and models--maybe $400--and I played five rounds in Seoul: 35 minutes. That was a lot of work and money for less than an hour of play.
Don't get me wrong, I began modeling because it looked interesting, not to battle. I've begun building PP's selection because they're frackin' awesome models! But it is a lot of work for a small payoff, if gameplay is your bag.
As to the cost, it goes without saying, it seems to be an old coots' hobby, as opposed to standard fare RPGs--all the modelers I've met are my age and older with good jobs.

Im going to be building a Cryxx army too! Ive always been a fan of the bad guys. Back in the day when I played Magic CCG I was all about Necropotence, Thrulls, and zombies. Booyah evil!

I have been playing Warmachine/Hordes for several years now. I play Cygnar for Warmachine and Trollbloods for Hordes. My wife plays Cryx for Warmachine and Everblight for Hordes. I also just purchased a small Khador army. The gameplay is what makes the game for me. I am not a big fan of the warjacks and that is what I orginally started playing with before Hordes came out. Despite the warjacks I loved the game anyway.
I own all the RPG stuff for Iron Kingdoms, but have never been able to find time to play it. While I like the setting I have never been able to come up with a campaign idea that I really like. That is probably the reason why I have not played it yet because I do have a couple of players that ask to play it often.

I have a small contingent of Menoth and love the world setting. Privateer press did a great job of bring people in with there mini's and seperate rpg and mini's games. It has the best MM, some of the best classes Gunmages, plus cleric's can do more harm than good if you are to far from your Gods alignment.
If they had paizo writers for more adventures to bring their world alive, we would probably care even less about 4ed. I hope they stay with Paizo and go do there own thing.
Possibly the best world out there except for Pathfinder.

Iron Kingdoms R0x0rz my b0x0rz.
Love the setting, have incorporated the firearms rules and gun mages into a Ravenloft campaign to great success.
Would love to know more about the miniature game ... tell me, is it compatible with the RPG, or a separate-but-related-entity unto itself?
The miniature wargame is a separate but related entity. Privateer generally makes minis for their wargame from their Monsternomicon books.
There is a mini line just for the RPG but it isn't updated often. The Iron kingdoms rpg and setting is excellent. Witchfire trilogy was not bad, but could have been better. We enjoyed breaking that game thoroughly. I.e. we pulled some assassinations with long rifles after we figured out who was working for whom.
Sadly I think that the RPG is going to be entirely kicked to the curb after 4th ed D&D's release. They make far more on the minis than the books. The 3.5 stuff is already out of print except for Monsternomicon 2 and five fingers. So if you see the character guide or world book, buy them. They're quite expensive on Ebay.
I played Warmachine for awhile myself quite heavily, Cryx, then got into Hordes. I stopped playing for awhile because apparently almost everyone who plays in the bay area is an overcompetitve tool. Something to do with the density of computer companies I surmise. So I sold and am still selling off my Cryx. I kept my Hordes Legion though. They're great for D&D monsters and I can still play a game or two at cons or with friends.
I got into Warmachine and Hordes because originally it was cheaper than other wargames at the time. Initial buy in costs where fairly low. Now though prices have risen considerably and with Privateer's aggressive release schedule it's become very cost prohibitive to keep up to date and competitive.
Anyway as far as the RPG goes I would hope that Paizo gives Privateer a call sometime to see if they'll release any new Iron Kingdoms RPG stuff under the new Pathfinder RPG rules. It seems a good fit as IK is quite popular but underutilized.

That's a great question. I just build the models (I sucked at painting in the long-ago, but I am proud to now say, not so much suck--I'm close to admitting that I now enjoy the meditation of cleaning, building, painting and mounting the models more than role-playing...; I'll link a pic of my better builds someday).

IK is my current favorite d20 setting, though Golarion is growing on me. I like the gritty steamtech feeling and I also like how healing and resurrection are not as readily available in IK. Death matters. Don't be stupid.
I love it!
Same here. Plus two words GUN MAGE.
I do love Iron Kingdoms. The fluff is amazing. I love the military feel. Healing is something special. They handled the gun crunch very well.
I do play WM/HORDES some. I have two small Cygnar and Trollblood armies and some mercs. I started playing mostly because of the Trollblood/Cygnar fluff that was in the books.
Also a HUGE thing is as far as "army" games go it's 1. cheap 2. you can change play styles completely play changing 1 model the warcaster/warlock which makes the games cheap I guess. What to change to an agrees army change that one peice and there you go.

Ok I don't know what my last sentence meant but oh well.
I've expanded mt Troll army.
Warlocks
Madrack
Grim
Doomshaper
Beast
Axer
2 Impalers
Mauler
Infantry
2 units of Champs
Kirelstone Bearers and Scribes
Solos
2 fellcallers
Not a bad little army if I say so myself. I feel like it's very solid, but I guess that's what trolls are all about.
I'm thinking of buying long riders(these are a bit pricey) and a bouncer. Also I've been eyeing Borka to.
My wife is playing Circle those tree hugging bastards. She also has taken a liking to beating my ass with Magnus. It's only time before she starts eyeing the Skorne...no loyalty.
My Cygnar army is getting ignored sadly I'm hoping with Legends my interest will be revived.
