I gotta get this. The original Twilight:2000 was one of my all-time favorites, probably second only to D&D.

Sure hope it doesn't suck.

I loved the idea behind Twilight but the system was a pain. I didn't care for it at all for multiple reasons. i had a hard time wrapping my head around the mechanic and I have a good head for game systems.
I ran a Twilight game a few years back, 05 or 06, that I ended up scrapping after a couple of sessions and switching over to d20 Modern. I love the setting, the gritty everyman soldier in a dying world thing but the system just didn't do it for me. Especially once explosives enter the mix. My first experience with the GDW system was a Merc 2000 game where I played a demolitionist, so I had to bring my scientific calculator whenever I wanted to blow something up, which was frequently.
For anyone who doesn't know, Merc 2000 was an add on to Twilight that basically said the war still happened but some semblance of society still existed. It was for the people who liked Twilight but wanted to have a world to go back to after they were done in the PA landscape.
I probably won't pick this up but I like that they're making an effort at a comeback. The license bounced around for a while before it really went into development.
