hey every one...ive been chillen with vampire the requiem lately and i was at barnes and nobles and i saw exaulted....and it looked really awsome from the brief flipping through i did of it. can any one tell me some experiences theyve had with it. Like if its a good game, fun entertaining etc.

thanks

It used to be one of the main games we played all the time. A lot of fun. We have a ton of old warstories from it that still bear telling. Unfortunately it was kinda' one of the casualties of the Time of Judgement fiasco for me though. So much of what made that game cool was that it was the distant past of the old World of Darkness, and imagining the connections between things was a big part of the appeal for me. Lilith as a Lunar. Autochthon as a torpid alien god with five nations in his guts. The fae as the enemy of creation tearing away at its boundaries. The deathlords and Stygia--not to mention the true nature of Malfeas. All of these things ran straight through from the prehistoric magical past right out into the rundown convienience stores and graffiti covered newspaper stands of the modern world. When the great Apocalypse came and went and no loose ends were connected at all--it was just a huge disappointment for me. I kinda lost interest in the game at that point.

It is a fun game though. The flavor is one-half Conan/one-half House of Flying Daggers. It certainly is a nice contrast to typical D&D fantasy. The power scale is just insane. It feels mythic and legendary. I highly recommend it--I just can't really play it anymore.

Exalted is a very fun game, as long as you are looking for a touch of anime martial arts.

It is the first game I have seen that encourages dramatic descriptions of actions.

If you have the choice, I'd recommend starting with second edition. The system is a bit crisper over first.

Thanks guys
