Based on today's blog, I have to say, Curchanus sounds like a great god for a druid, especially one seeking to return humanity and animals to their previous legendary harmony.
Desna would probably work better for this as she has a living faith, but there might be a few ancient druidic traditions that have retained aspects of Chrchabus's faith. There's a bit in the Desna article about druid worshipers (and sorcerers, and wizards, and bards, etc), so you're sure to get your tree-hugging hero itch scratched!

Well you can tell your players too that in the wild (away from large communities) wild dogs do pose a real threat. I should know. I am an avid backpacker and survivalist. While on a kayaking trip, I was setting camp along the river near some cliffs, when myself and my partner noticed we were being stalked by coyotes, and nearly attacked. Thank god for torches.

Feral animals are incredibly dangerous too. Out here in Iraq, the number one non-insurgent danger are the packs of wild dogs: formerly domesticated that have run wild and bred. They have NO fear of man and run where they please. The locals tell stories of people eaten alive because they ran afoul of a pack after dark.
I've seriously considered statting up a "dog swarm" or something of the kind.
