could someone please clarify how exactally you evolve your plant companion? if you have something that takes 3 levels does that mean you cant try to lear any more untill that one resolves? can you not start a new evolution on the level that a previous one came into effect? sorry im probably missing an obvious line. lysdexics have more fnu and all. also it says the list provided is some of the most common. are there less common? say online or in further issues? if so may i suggest the ability to grow good berries. i think thats all for this rant. thanx

Certainly, my good man!

Not at all. In fact, while you wait those 3 levels for your plant companion to evolve you can train it for all new evolutions in the meantime. If you time it just right, you could even have 3 evolutions all hit at the same time. How, you might ask?

Say you pick an evolution with a 3-level delay. In 3 levels your plant companion gains that ability. On the next level, you take a 2-level delay ability. On the level after that, you take a 1-level delay ability. When your first ability, the 3-level ability, resolves, so too do the other two, as they were chosen one level apart. That way, you get three new abilities for your plant companion and only lose one level for the purpose of gaining new evolutions. :)

You cannot. On a level that your plant companion gains a new ability you cannot choose for it a new ability.

No worries. Glad to help! :)

Sure! Those created by you and your DM, for example. :)

It's definitely something worth bringing up with Wizards of the Coast when they roll out their new online initiative (gleemax.com, I think is what they're calling it). They really liked the article, so I hope they continue to support it. As for later issues of the magazine: nopers. Sorry. Only the two left, and one is almost out the door. ;)
