Will pathfinder present it's monsters/npcs in the new statblock format?

If yes, cool.
If no, can you tell us what the format will be?

I believe they stated they will be using the DMGII/MMIV statblock format, with a couple of tweaks. (James Jacobs said it another thread...somewhere...)

Our stat blocks are going to be an evolution of the Dungeon stat block. They'll be close enough to navigate with ease for those who are familiar with that stat block, but hopefully more user-friendly.

My main suggestion here is that you avoid, so far as is possible, the huge mess of special abilities at the bottom. I found that was something of a weak link in using the stat blocks. We have this wonderful design where one is supposed to be looking at a specific part of the stat block depending on what is happening and it is being broken up by the fact that one also has to search through all the creatures special abilities at the bottom to see if any of them apply to the current situation.

One option might be to use colour end notes in the main stat block so we at least know what we are supposed to be looking at to get more information on a special ability. another option might be to incorporate the relevant special ability description into the part of the stat block that it pertains to.
