Has anyone tried this AP from EN World? The plot summary indicates that the adventure series centers around the events of a magic fueled war.
I have not played it yet (there are only three chapters in print), but I am a subscriber and I would say so far ... wow! It is a tremendous effort and though I withhold final judgement until I have more than 3/12 of the picture I would say that it is, so far, at least as good as anything put out by Paizo in terms of writing. Paizo clearly kicks ENWorld's ass in terms of art.
It has one tremendous advantage over Dungeon magazine -- length. Chapter one is sixty five page long. Chapter two is seventy two pages. Chapter three is one hundred and one pages. That means more fully described NPCs, more carefully detailed plot twists and generally a more fleshed out world.
IF you want to know about plot there is a more complete outline in the free campaign guide you can download at ENWorld's web site.
If you enjoy the Adventure Paths in Dungeon you should definitely check it out.
