Monday Morning Jazz Brunch
Went out with La Principessa to return clothes in Manhattan on Saturday. She tricked me, as all women do, and after returning things at The Gap, Old Navy and some other place, she then dragged me into Victoria's Secret where she tried things on for forty minutes. Got my revenge when we passed by an olde usde recorde shoppe.
Picked up three only-have-previously-listened-to-on-the-internet-jazz-cds wicked cheap. I mean, seriously, they were all five bucks or less for items that would've been priced for ten bucks or more in any New England record shop I've ever been to.
Had a ton of amazing records, too, but I didn't want to risk them getting destroyed on the bus trip.

Jazz (and definitely not jazz) binge!
Bought: The Epic - Kamasi Washington. Great - occasionally shades of those early 70s Pharoah Sanders/Alice Coltrane records, but overall the sound's more reminiscent of Wayne Shorter's stuff (sometimes like a more acoustic sounding Weather Report)
Lest We Forget What We Came Here to Do - Sons of Kemet Not listened to it yet, but it has a track on called 'The Long Night of Octavia E Butler', you may or may not be interested to hear

And A Wizard, A True Star - Todd Rundgren, in which Naughty Todd takes peyote and sings Disney songs.
