Morphic Control Feats

Shackled City Adventure Path

As I near the end of my SCAP campaign my one player with the smoking eye template has shown interest in attempting to gain morphic control of Occiptus. I designed the following feats and would like the opinions, criticisms and experiences of others who have faced this same problem.

MORPHIC CONTROL [EPIC]
You gain a fragment of morphic control over the plane of Occipitus’ physical traits.
Prerequisite: 21st lvl, Cha 20, Smoking Eye Template
Benefit: You gain morphic control over minor physical traits of Occipitus. You may exercise this control over Occipitus a number of times per day equal to 1/2 (frd) your Cha bonus.
 Sky – You can mentally control the plasmas which occupy Occipitus’ sky. The plasma’s respond to your every thought gaining or losing altitude, moving left or right, attacking or withdrawing. Controlling plasma is a full round action. Once directed a plasma will continue to undertake the directed action until redirected or physically stopped. Redirecting plasma is a standard action. You can control a number of plasmas equal to ½ your Cha score. Each time you gain control of a plasma it counts as one of your daily uses of this feat.
 Ulcers – You can create/destroy a number of ulcers per use equal to your Cha bonus. The ulcers are permanent (until you destroy them), and are randomly seeping or fountain. This is a full round action. Each time you create/destroy ulcers it counts as one of your daily uses of this feat.
 Ossaic and Fibrus Forests – You can create or destroy areas of Ossaic or Fibrus forests. Each area is 20’ radius. You can create either ossaic or fibrus with each use. The areas are permanent (until you destroy them). Creation or destruction is a full round action. Each time you create/destroy an area it counts as one of your daily uses of this feat.
 Tremor Zones – You can create or halt tremor zones anywhere on Occipitus. Each zone created or halted counts as one of your daily uses of this feat.
Special: Morphing Occipitus is a tiring action. Doing so just one time causes fatigue, doing so more than once is exhausting. These conditions can be removed only through normal rest.

IMPROVED MORPHIC CONTROL [EPIC]
Your power to morph Occiptus grows even greater.
Prerequisite: 23d lvl, Cha22, Smoking Eye Template, morphic control
Benefit: Your ability to exercise morphic control over the physical traits of Occipitus is even greater. You may exercise this control over Occipitus a number of times per day equal to your Cha bonus. Uses of this feat do not stack with those of morphic control.
 Sky - You can now control a number of plasmas equal to your Cha score.
 Ulcers – You can now create/destroy a number of ulcers per use equal to your 1 ½ times your Cha bonus.
 Ossaic and Fibrus Forests – Now, each area is 30’ radius.
 Reverse Gravity – You can reverse the gravity of Occipitus per the 7th lvl wizard spell at caster level 30, or your caster level which ever is greater. Each use of this ability counts as one of your daily uses of this feat.
 Control Time – You can control time on Occipitus per the 9th lvl wizard spell at caster level 30 or your caster level which ever is greater. Each use of this ability counts as one of your daily uses of this feat.

Special: Morphing Occipitus is a tiring action; however you are more at ease in its use. You do not become fatigued until you have made use of your morphic powers 2 times in one day, using them 4 times in a single day is exhausting. These conditions can be removed only through normal rest.

GREATER MORPHIC CONTROL [EPIC] [PLANAR]
Your power to morph Occiptus has reached its zenith.
Prerequisite: 25th lvl, Cha, 24, Smoking Eye Template, morphic control, improved morphic control
Benefit: You ability to exercise morphic control over the physical traits of Occipitus is even greater. You may exercise this control over Occipitus a number of times per day equal to your Cha bonus. Uses of this feat do not stack with those of morphic control.
 Reverse Gravity – You can reverse the gravity of Occipitus per the 7th lvl wizard spell at caster level 30, or your caster level which ever is greater. Each use is now considered widened, and affects a 20’ cube / two levels.
 Control Time – You can control time on Occipitus per the 9th lvl wizard spell time stop at caster level 30 or your caster level which ever is greater. Each use is now considered maximized lasting for 5 rounds.
 Magic Traits – You can create or destroy areas of antimagic as per the 6th level wizard spell at caster level 30 or your caster level which ever is greater. These areas are permanent and under the effects widen metamagic.
Elemental Traits - Any time you use a spell or spell like ability on Occipitus that deals energy damage you can choose the energy type (fire, acid, cold, electric). Additionally, when contoling plamas or creating ulsers you may choose to have there damage type be either fire, acid, cold, or electric.

Special: Morphing Occipitus is a tiring action; however you are more at ease in its use. You do not become fatigued until you have made use of your morphic powers 4 times in one day, using them 8 times in a single day is exhausting. These conditions can be removed only through normal rest.

I really like all the ideas you have.

Generally speaking, the first two seem to be usuable to lean Occipitus towards good or evil (by adding or subtracting the dangerous portions of the layter).

The third doesn't fit this theme, which "cleaning up" Occipitus may be important to a good character. Similarly, the third feat would be more important to a spellcaster then a non-spellcaster. Should it be more generic?

Finally, you may want to add a telepathic ability for the third feat where the PC can contact anyone on the layer. Or a teleport ability where the PC can go anywhere on the layer.

The fact that these feats are so localized severely limits there usefulness so I don't think either of these additional abilities would be out-of-place for the ruler of Occipitus.

Just some thoughts...

Thanks for the feedback, I will take your suggestions under advisement and let you know. I to thought of the teleport addition, but not the telepathic.

Thanks
