A Couple of Greyhawk Lore Questions

Not being up on my Greyhawk lore as much as many others, can someone answer a couple of things for me:

1. What is the "Forbidden City" mentioned in "There Is No Honour?"

2. Who were/are the Sea Princes mentioned both in the mod and in the Sasserine background article? I mean, beyond ending Orren's rule, wiping Sasserine from the map, and stripping it of wealth? Are these fine, upstanding gentlemen going to have some impact further on down the AP?

Thanks

Great links. Especially the latter.

It doesn't know what Titanic Games is doing...but now I do! Mwahahahahaaha

"Forbidden City" was definitely a classic-- no goal of saving the world, no "end boss," etc.; you just explore the ruined city. Way cool. I suppose with stop-offs at the Isle of Dread and the Shrine of Tamoachan already scheduled for this adventure path, a revisiting of "Forbidden City" would be a bit much to expect, though. Maybe they'll import the character of Horan (?) and his Leomund's Chest somewhere along the path, though. That'd rock.

"Dwellers of the Forbidden City" is firking awesome! No offense to the writers of the various AP's, but, as interesting as they are, they can't hold a candle to the sheer amount of potential creativity, fun and surprise that the old modules hold. I've used DotFC multiple times in my life (ever since I picked it up off the shelf when it first came out). I've ran it where the primary 'adventure story' was...

--find the Chiefs son. He was taken by the yuan ti, but then 'stolen' by the bullywugs who were going to sacrifice him to the Pan Lung as an appeasment to start their war against he yuan ti. They yuan ti didn't like this at all. (Hackmaster rules).

--find and destroy a vampire who had begun to slowly dominate and take over all the 'inteligent' monsters and NPC's in the city...the beginning of his own empire (Powers & Perils rules)

--track down the location of an ancient magical statue that was both a curse and a blessing to those that held it. The magic user, Horan, had it, but other factions in the city wanted it as well. (Conan d20 rules)

--create an accurate map of the outside cliff, and find all means of entering/exiting it. (1e AD&D)

--just explore it for pure, unadulterated greed and power (1e AD&D)

I'm sure I'm missing others. But yeah, DotFC is one of my all-time favorite modules. :D

I placed the hidden temple of Tamoachan in the Forbidden City. Good fun.

That adventure and S-4 had the most excellent ratio of awesome new monsters per square foot of dungeon space of any adventures ever. Yuan ti, aboleth, tasloi, bullywugs(I think that was their first appearance) that mod had it all.
C1 was in gooooood company placed therein.

Osquip, what a deliciously infernal idea to place the two mods together. I could see that happening. Makes sense. The Olman city, abandoned and overrun by monsters. The once great Temple lurks nearby, for now forgotten or ignored by the dwellers of the city. Should the Party need side quests to boost XP, I've got those handy.

Thanks Eric. I can't wait to dig into those links. You guys at Paizo are the best!
