I can honestly say that this movie was probably the best movie I have seen this year. Although there are few and far between great movies this year, this one is fantastic. And it treats the subject matter with such class and respect. It even has some of the actual participants of that dramatic day's events. This movie blurs the line between actuality and theatre and places you right in the middle of the events as a participant. Sheer magic.
I'm not going to watch any 9/11 related movies for a long time still...the wounds to my psyche are just too fresh, no matter how respectful and well the movie is done. It's good to hear the movie was well done, though, but I don't think I can get myself to watch it for another 10-15 years. My heart goes out to the families of all those who died in the real life events that came and followed.
I agree whole-heartedly, this was an excellent movie. My only complaint is more of a production issue rather than the actual story telling. I HATE WITH THE HEAT OF 1000 SUNS the shaky "documentary" style cinematography. Buy a frickin' tripod!!!
Okay, I feel better. Other than that, it was an excellent movie. I love the way the characters aren't really introduced. I don't remember a single name. It was almost like being a fly on the wall. Very well done.
