After responding to another thread, i was reminded of a movie from my past. It was made in the 70's...Something about a few scientists? going undersea, getting captured, and meeting Atlanteans. Later in the story, a battle ensues between the Atlaneans and another race or monsters? I think the Atlanteans lost and the scientists? barely escaped. The majority of the movie took place under the sea.
The movie went something like that...If anyone knows this one, please let me know. I saw this in a drive-in in the 70's and id love to get a copy.

I'm sure it's 'Warlords of Atlantis' - it sounds like it.
And it's one of my all time favourites! You can't beat Doug McClure!
Here's a quick plot summary:
#Dudes find Atlantean idol.
#Idol summons Kraken-squid thingy.
#Dudes dive and discover Atlantis.
#Atlantis dudes show the science dude visions of the future and try to get him to stay.
#Dinosaurs (in the Harryhausen style) attack and Atlantis falls.
#Dudes escape.

Excellent! I found a business on Ebay that sells it DVD-R1 and have ordered it. With any luck, i'll be watching it next weekend. Thanks for your help. I cant wait to watch it too.
