Sounds like Reavers? Shiny!

Savage Tide Adventure Path

This whole turning people into mad flesh eating cannibals sounds like the Reavers from Firefly and Serenity (TV series and Movie). That would make a cool visual for a game and would give a DM some really good images in their head to work from.
Any thoughts?

Liberty's Edge

Or like the first five minutes of the Dawn of the Dead remake.

But yeah, that final battle on the movie Serenity where the reavers are rushing them in that room and they have to hold the bastiches back. Schwee-ha-hat.

Yeah I loved that too. Especially the whole River thing...

Anyway, I like the idea of bringing this imagery into the Savage Tides campaign. Sounds very appropriate! :)

Aw, man, this little waifish girl, with mad brain powers, just opening up and handing out a beatdown on all these outerspace looney tooney klingons on PCP. That was one of my all time favorites. I felt...completed. Oh, no the grey gelatinous cube ate my blurb again.

That would be really cool to have one of the earlier Savage Tide adventures focus on a black pearl (of whatever it is) activating prematurly. WOuld it look something like "28 Days Later?"

Those zombies (if you can call them that) ran reaaally fast.

I've been thinking the same thing for about a day now. A sloop chock fulla' Pirates pull into a seaside town to pillage it. Everything is burning. Everyone is partaking of bizarre, savage behavior, and their table manners are beyond atrocious.

And all over the city, farm animals walking around like nothing much is happening.

Or having an island full of pirates turning their ships into reaver ships setting out raiding...well, anything that crosses their paths! That would be cool!

What scares me is something similar to what happens in my group ... we all sit around thinking out loud and working through a problem with wild ideas.
Ususally these ideas are worse than the actual scenario, until our DM gets one of them and "wings it" making our day a whole lot more difficult.
Personally, I think the team here at Paizo won't need our help making this a tough Adventure Path ... but here we go making our day worse!

Ah, but there is a method to my madness. You see, my wife has run the last 2 APs. This one is mine to run, all mine! *Degenerated into maniacal laughter*

The harder it is for my players the better!

You could have a cannibal pirate ship with the torso of a zombie ogre as the figure head, and a massive cauldron of halfling noodle soup seathing on the forecastle, and one of the party members could make a strength roll and dump it on the cannibal pirates like in Conan.
