Hey guys, just to let you know I am relatively new to these messageboards and also relatively new to even thinking of writinng for Dragon. However, I have lots of experience with D&D. So I thought I would try to give writing for Dragon a try, I mean I have started novellas and novels and shortstories, but I was thinking why not try Dragon. So I checked out their guidelines, but it says that I need to do it the way they do it. So all I need to do is get my hands on a Dragon magazine and I am in business. Big problem is that I am in China right now and I have no idea what half the stuff around me says. Can you guys give me a hand? or at least point me in the right direction. Are there any downloadable monster templates and writing samples that would be accurate for Dragon? Can I download a Dragon magazine off the internet?
I thank you in advance.

Alasanii, I'm going to assume you already have at least the three core books for D&D. Assuming that, try the following:
http://paizo.com/writersguidelines/dragon_writers_guidelines.pdf
and
http://paizo.com/store/magazines/dragon/downloads
There is a pdf site on the store page for Dungeon as well. It will have the most up to date monster formats.
Also you might consider picking up the Best of Dragon Compendium. I'm not sure if they deliver to Asia, but it will be your most up to date source.

Also check out the scuttle butt on the two "Black Hole" threads. Many a die hard writer or hopeful hangs out on those threads. You should be able to do a search for them by the above title.
Good luck,
