Why is there no picture of 129's cover

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

Dark Archive

Hello. I noticed last week that issue 129 has been sent out and that for some reason there is no image avaiable of its cover. I figured you guys were a few days behind so I forgot the matter over the weekend. However, its now been 8 days since it was sent out and still no cover picture. This isn't a huge deal, but I was just wondering what foul sorcery was afoot over at Paizo.

It's top secret. They could show you, but then they'd have to send their ninja-assassins after you. ;)

This is actually going to be their untited "White Issue," a double-sized magazine with simple themes and individual writing projects with little collaberation and minimal production value.

The cover for this issue is so terrifying that all who see it have gone quite mad. So we're running out of "volunteers" to try to put it up....

I am glad to see that Dungeon is returning to the uncluttered covers of yore. Now if only Dragon would follow suit.

I bet the cover is illegal and if shown the...CIA AND FBI will come and get you. BUT dungeon readers are smart and will get away until the government calls in crazy clown alians from mars! We will barley make it and our only hope of future survival will to become reffuges in bomb shelters in isolated mountains. We may live in harmony for a few years until the mole people come!

.....dun dun dun!

Okay, we finally found a victim, er, volunteer who was willing to brave the terror.

Behold the fearsome puking dragon!!

"Jimmy, you and Mr. Larchlane stay here. This looks like a job for Wonder Cleric!"
-Wonder Cleric

"Go get 'em Wonder Cleric!"
-Wonder Cleric's Best Pal, Jimmy the Paladin

"Gee whiz she's swell isn't she, Mr. Larchlane?"
-Jimmy the Paladin

"She sure is Jimmy. She sure is. But I can't help wonder what's making Crypto act this way."
-Lorath Larchlane, Plucky Dual Wielding Rogue and Wonder Cleric's Boyfriend

ROFL!!!

I would like to nominate Mr. Lachlane, Jimmy the Paladin and Crypto the Wonder Cleric as the "official" (Board) names of the iconic characters.

;)

Actually Crypto is the do--err dragon. Yeah, that's the ticket. He's called Crypto 'cause he's standin' on a - oh, nevermind.... :)

Anyway, Wonder Cleric works under the guise of mild-mannered curate, Sister Canya Sparadime at a great metropolitain temple, but when evil rears it's ugly boomerange-shaped eyeborws she turns into Wonder Cleric! Wonder Cleric fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and a flattering athletic support bra!

I guess Allustan didn't digest well.

Maybe the Wonder Cleric will taste better. After all, I heard that black dragons can process silicon much better these days.

Hopefully, he already ate the Drow bard (GGG, let's call him. . . Corky).

Actually I was gonna call him Perre'wight, or just "Chief" for short.

PS The cover's is just fine, though my favorite TSR/Paizo cover is probably still this one, I just can't help but feel that Wonder Cleric's pose looks like it came right off the cover of Action Comics #1. Maybe if she were hefting the dragon over her head and slamming it into the cairn? Hmmm, maybe not.
