Is the artifact itself going to be in the adventure path, or just the lore? Since I haven't heard anything solid, I though I would ask, hopefully having an offical answer.
Also, if the rod is going to be in the adventure, will it be reprinted, or will we need to pick up some old books(like arms and equipment)?
It has piqued my interest, as well. I realize it is not going to be an adventure about the Rod of Seven Parts but I may include it, anyway. I'm actually digging out my 1E DMG to outline its abilities. An official answer would be great!

I think 3.0 stats are in the Arms and Equipment guide. An official answer would be great but my reading makes me think that the Rod of Seven parts is going to play a large part in the series, they just wanted to make sure DM's understood it wasn't supposed to overshadow the players.
I hope so, my wizard thinks that the talisman of the sphere is the first part. Hes dug out all the old books to research it and found out some things about the adventure he wouldn't normally know
If the Rod of Seven Parts (or any of its pieces) turn up in the adventure, we'll reprint all the info you need to use it.
