I'm planning an adventure that I would like to submit to the magazine, and I want to add an NPC oozemaster. Problem is, the Oozemaster PrC appeared in Masters of the Wild (which was written with the v3.0 rules) and as far as I can tell hasn't been given an update.
Now, the submission guidelines say "DO NOT... ...Use defunct rules from previous editions (including rules that were dropped in the transition from 3.0 to 3.5)"
Does this mean I cannot use Mr. Slimy* in my submission? Can I use the class as it appears in MotW? Can I submit an updated class as part of the submission (even though this would tear through my word count like a gelatinous cube through...something that tears easily)?

If you want to include an oozemaster in the adventure, you'll need to update the prestige class to the 3.5 rules. This might be simple, or it might not; I don't recall the specifics of the oozemaster class off the top of my head.
In any event, you don't have to worry about that yet. Send in your adventure proposal first; if we ask for it for publication, that's when to start working on the oozemaster conversion.
Including material from 3.0 that hasn't been updated is by no means against the rules.

Uuh, Hunter!
Please go ahead and send it in. I hope those guys at paizo will print it, because I LOVE the OOOzemaster as well ;)
Would be great to have an adventure with an evil oozemaster villain.
I generated one once for my campaign, it was a gnome sorcerer. I still use him and so far have not encountered any discrepancys (spelling?) with 3.5. I think converting the Oozemaster will not be that difficult, if you have to do any work at all...
