The +1 is hardly different than a Free-Hand Parry weapon (or Shield spell), where in settling for a +1 for the cost of an action, you don't have to tie up a hand throughout battle as you do for a +2.

Unfortunately, it lacks the specific text and trait that says the hand is free. So it does occupy the hand. My question is it strapped? If strapped it requires the other hand to be free to unstrap it, then you can drop it, then you can draw a replacement, then you must strap that one in place, then you can re-draw your weapon.

Since the new errata seems to require hands free and multiple actions to remove a broken shield and to strap a new one to your arm.

I have a question on the Heavy Rondache: Its the size of a buckler but is it just held in one hand or is it also strapped??

Thanks all for your help, I and my player missed that this was a composition cantrip acquired only via the feat.

"You and all allies in the area gain a +1 status bonus to AC and saving throws, as well as resistance equal to half the spell’s level to physical damage."

With rounding am I reading that this correctly? cantrip does NOTHING for physical damage resistance UNTIL you cast it at level 2 ie when your character is at level 3 its cast at level 2. so 1/2 of 2 is 1.
