Hi,
I doubt about the feat elemental spell.

The feat says :
"You may replace a spell’s NORMAL DAMAGE with that energy type or split the spell’s damage"

Can I use it on an energy spell like fireball and split the spell's damage fire/cold?

Or Is it only reserved for the spells that are not energy spells like Magic missile?

Thx

Hi,
During a fight, I became Blinded. I wanted to search my foes with perception.
With my MG, we used the table in section "invisibility" because in the section" perception" there is anything written to find someone if I am blinded.

Invisible creature is… Perception

In combat or speaking –20
Moving at half speed –5
Moving at full speed –10
Running or charging –20
Not moving +20
Using Stealth Stealth check +20
Some distance away +1 per 10 feet
Behind an obstacle (door) +5
Behind an obstacle (stone wall) +15

Did we forgot a rule? Did we make a mistake?

How you do that?

Thanks for your answer.

Hi,
In description of sleet rain, it's written "block all sights (even darkvision)" So all creatures or characters within sleet rain can't see.
Can we consider they are "blinded" like someone within area of darkness without darkvision?

Thanks for your answers.

Hi,
I explain you the situation.

I fought in a duel against another player. I'm a wizard but i fight with guns.
The other player cast an antimagic field to block my spells. I cast ethereal jaunt. So i and my equipement are ethereal during the duration of spell.

The next turn while he searched me I decided to shoot on him.

My bullet begin into ethereal plan and when it is within antimagic field it become back in material plan and can hit him.

At the end, the other player disagreed with me because in the text of spell. It's written "An ethereal creature can’t attack material creatures, and spells you cast while ethereal affect only other ethereal things"
He considers it's forbidden to take him as a target, I am forbidden to attack him.

And you what do you think about the situation.

I want to play a fire elemental against my players.
I need some clarification on the special attack "burn"

Burn (Ex)
A creature with the burn special attack deals fire damage in addition to damage dealt on a successful hit in melee

Do fire damages deal every hit?
example:
(if burn 1d6) as full attack if there is two successful hits and the player don't success the reflex save. the fire damages additionnal is 2d6 or still 1d6.
At the next round if there is a new successful hit, do the fire damages become 3d6 ? and so on ...

or it only applies once.

Thx

Hi,
I would like to know What does mean " poor visibility"
I'va finden the rule on hampered movement

Table: Hampered Movement
Condition Additional Movement Cost
Difficult terrain ×2
Obstacle* ×2
Poor visibility ×2
Impassable —

But there is any accuracy about it.

I'm going to give you some examples:

1 - when a character is dazzled
The definition says : The creature is unable to see well because of over-stimulation of the eyes

2 - When a character is within ice storm :
"For the remaining duration of the spell, heavy snow and sleet rains down in the area."
Rules on weather = Snow, Heavy: Heavy snow reduces visibility ranges to one-quarter of the normal range, resulting in a –6 penalty on Perception checks

3 - when a character is within obscuring mist :
"A misty vapor arises around you. It is stationary. The vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet"

Are you ok to say all of those examples give a poor visibility? So add movement cost.

Hi,

I've fallen on rules, and I ask me a question

In the section Movement, there is that

Table: Hampered Movement
Condition Additional Movement Cost
Difficult terrain ×2
Obstacle* ×2
Poor visibility ×2
Impassable —

"If more than one hampering condition applies, multiply all additional costs that apply. This is a specific exception to the normal rule for doubling."

if I cast sleet storm :Driving sleet blocks all sight (even darkvision) within it and causes the ground in the area to be icy. A creature can walk within or through the area of sleet at half normal speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check

I make an area with two hampered movements : poor visibility and difficult terrain.

so additionnal movement cost x4. Isn't it?

Hi,
I have many questions about surprise spells. I know a lot of answers already are on the website. But I began to learn english six months ago and I did not all understand.

1- Does sorcerer’s Bloodline (draconic or orc) increase with surprise spells ?
Ex with Scorching ray :
12d6 (spell) + 10d6 ( sneak attack)+ 12 (draconic bloodline) or 22d6 (spell + sneak attack) +22 (draconic bloodline)

2- If sneak attack is adding to spell ( with surprise spells). Do maximize spell and empower spell work with ?
Ex with maximize spell :
72(12d6) + 10d6 ( sneak attack) or egal to 132 ( 22d6)

3- Does Sniper goggles work with surprise spells ?
Ex with scorching ray whitin 30 feet
12d6 + 10d6 +20 or not

4- If i cast scorching ray the first round. Do I add sneak attack to spell and i have normal sneak attack anyway ?
Ex : 12d6 ( spell) +10d6 ( surprise spells) +10d6 ( sneak attack) or not ?

5- As a spell with many targets is casted with sneak attack ,It’s usual that sneak attack’s damages are applied to one target. is that the same with surprise spells ? or Is the sneak attack adding to every ray ?

6- I read on website that we use surprise spells everytimes we can use sneak attack. But on the description it says your target should be flat-footed. So i can use this during the first round if my targets don't act. Is not ? don’t it work if i attack during the fight invisible being ?

Thank you for reading me and sorry for my English.
