With winter setting in, I have a little more time to game and I've set up a semi-regular very casual game. I'm looking to do something different and wanted a light-hearted fantasy game and was thinking of modeling things after the Enchanted Forest in Once Upon A Time (the ABC/Disney show).

Has anyone got any conversions or tips?

My group and I were chatting about assorted video games, novels and movies that we have drawn on for inspiration or tried to adapt to campaign settings. While my personal favorite was A Legend of Zelda game I played in during the early 3.0 era, I was intrigued by the idea of an Eragorn game. I've only read the first book, but can see it being a cool setting.

Has anyone adapted the Inheritance Cycle to 3.5?

So far, my heroes have made it through the first III parts of my conversion. They have hit second level. One of my PCs kept count of their arrow expenditures and stopped at 56! There has been some great RP with the survivors of the group and many of the PCs have detailed backgrounds that tie them to the area and some upcoming events. Since we play weekly, I'm not sure how high they can get level-wise. We will continue with this game as a back-up through the year.

Speaking of which, the party composition is as follows.

Male Elf Wizard 2. On his way to following the path of the Arcane Archer, he is a decent archer (Dex 16) and uses the spell "Arrow Mind" as a signature tactic.

Male Halfling Scout 1/Sorcerer 1. As a child, he escaped slavers and was taken in by pixies. He eventually returned home but his time among the fey gave him his sorcerous powers. He is unbelievably stealthy and wears a vest full of throwing daggers.

Female Human Cleric 2. A member of the natives that have been largely oppressed by human conquerers from the east. She is skilled with a shortsword and can really crank out healing spells (Augmented Healing feat).

Male Human Ranger 2. He is an incredible archer who melees with paired daggers. He is the "adoptive" brother of the wizard and the two were responsible for half of the kills at the siege. Has his eye on one of several archery based prestige classes including Peerless Archer.

Female Elf Duskblade 2. An elf from the northern elven homeland. She came down to deliver a message to a clan meeting and got swept up in the events of the day. She can't wait to zap someone with a spell through her sword.

The party is rather lightly armored, and everyone has a some type of missile weapon. The cleric and duskblade are the melee specialists, but the ranger chose the two-weapon fighting feat to give him a little melee muscle. I think the wizard will take a level or two in fighter next and the halfling will alternate between sorcerer and scout.

My group has expressed interest in a mini-campaign this summer as many vacations and family obligations will leave us with minimal opportunity to play. I was watching some History Channel and a little King Arthur and was the Dark Ages might be an interesting time period.

Does anyone have any recommendations for this type of setting? Any cool websites, settings, the like?

Does anyone have a list of 3.5 fey creatures and where I can find them in the Monster Manuals?

Experienced, mature player recently returned to South Suburbs looking to join a regular gaming group. I'd prefer to play but I can DM/GM if your group trades off the position.

I have played ODnD (and still do from time to time), ADnD (1st and 2nd ed), 3.5 but have not played 4e. I have also played Star Wars (RCR version). In the past, I played Cyberpunk 2020, Rifts, Robotech, and several others. I'm flexible in playing roles and I love a balance between rp and combat.
