(The damn boards deleted my first post on this, I guess.) The text of the Fiendish Foot says the curse works "if a humanoid or monstrous humanoid claims the fiendish foot as his own." Does this require simply picking the item up, or using its powers, or making a statement claiming the item? If my player is carrying the foot, does he start to become vampire-like? Or only if he's interested in using/keeping it?
My players recently found the Fiendish Foot. I think the item's text is slightly ambiguous as to its curse. Does anyone carrying the foot fall under the curse (and start to become vampire-like), or must the character do something more? The text says the curse works "if a humanoid or monstrous humanoid claims the fiendish foot as his own." In your opinion, does that mean picking it up, using it, or making a verbal claim? |
