pathfinder is a rpg. i hate to see only combat builds u would not last a min at a real game. u play to have fun and use all the game has to offer not part of it. sorry if i come off mean but i play rpg's for story first, combat second.

Fighters are great, but i still think rangers the best in damage b/c there pet can add alot to a battle. and if your dm allows it check this feat out it is out of curse of the crimson throne players guide. this would give u a good pet for mounted combat.

New Feat: SABLE COMPANY MARINE
You graduated from the elite hippogriff-riding school of the
Endrin Military Academy. Not only can you ride a hippogriff
with great skill, but you may also bond with one.
Prerequisite: Ranger level 4th.
Benefit: You gain a hippogriff as your animal companion.
You gain a +2 bonus on Ride checks made while riding your
hippogriff animal companion. Whenever you are within 20
feet of your hippogriff, it gains a +2 bonus on saving throws

i have been playing pf for 2 months now and played 3.5 for 2 1/2 years. my fav class are ranger and cleric. followed close by barbarian

you could just have your friend play 2 characters and u dm and play the 3rd. my group plays with 3 people so i play 2 characters and the other player plays one and the dm plays the last to make us four strong.

HP is always better if u ask me. ac is very good to stack but there will always be touch attacks, and other attacks that will get right threw that armor. but it also depends on were your armor is from. exp like a monk dont were armor so if you were able to ac him up that would be beeter to stack ac

one way to fix this is to let your fighter run and charge and then roll int after the charge. the only thing is the fighter charges in and attacks then the monster would atk him and then int happens. that might work out for your group.

thanx that will help out a ton

man u are going to nerf your skills, initative,ac,reflex save and if u get hit with a str drain at a little higher levels that could kill u with just putting a 5 in there right. plus ontop of that if u get grapple u will never break free.

i like to add to this ?
we are just starting pathfinder been playing dnd for years now.
when i cleric uses the chan pos to heal his party would it heal the monsters as well.

yep cant wait for the advenced players guide. when it gets here i will be taking feats from the teamwork feats. i think i will stay with just one weapon two weapon fighting is great but it really dont fit the way i want this character to do in combat. but with those teamwork feats plus arcane strike and weapon focus. but i really like the Dodge, Mobility, spring attack, Combat expertise, and Whirlwind attack feat build that looks like it will rock. i will most likely grab arcane strike and then start down the feat line for the spring attack and such.
after that will take the teamwork feats.

so maybe
weapon fineese 1st level
arcane strike 3
weapon focus 5
dodge 7
mobility 9
spring attack 11
combat expertise 12
whirlwind attack 13
team feats from here on out 15,17,19 ( if we make it that far )

ok i am playing a level 1 bard, the bard likes to mix singing and sword play. first round i use bard music to bump up partys atk, second round i run in and flank to help fighters out. my feat is weapon finesse. what other feats should i go with next to improve my close combat.

race - elf
class- bard
weapon- rapier
1st level feat- weapon fineese
stats
str 14
dex 19
con 14
wis 15
int 19
chr 17

so this build is basically a buff/flank.

hey guys i played pathfinder for the first time this weekend and i really enjoyed this character so far. he is a tinker to the core lol. he's all about crafts, and stealth skills. he loves to tinker with stuff so i started play with a reapeating crossbow and got (ext weap prof feat). but the upside is the DM is going to let me modify my weapon using the craft skill as we progress threw the camp. the first thing i plan on is adding a device that can shoot out flask, the range will be 10-15 foot we doing so. my character is also going to pick up the alchemy skill and use that skill plus by flask to keep in stock of aclemy flask, and others flask that might come in handy is sticky situations. other devices that i will add later will be shooting nets, and a blade that shoots out for those times i get into melee.

but anyway guys so for i have really enjoyed reading all your post

ok guys most of my stuff is done. here is what i got so far.

str 10 HP 9 speed 20
dex 14
con 13
int 15
wis 11
cha 13 int 2

ac 14 ( wearing padded armor)
touch 13 flatfooted 12

fort 3
ref 4
will 0

base atk bonus 0

my main weopon is a light repeating crossbow ( i took craft = weapons)
my dm is going to let my use the skill to enhance my repeating cross bow, going to work on putting all kinds of gadgets and such on it lol.
this character is all skill based not combat friendly. i got a 12 in stealth,8 in craft so far. and he loves to read, adventure and learn new things in life, when the campaign starts it will be is first time away from home. my party to my knowledge consist of my gnome rogue skill based, human fighter, and half-orc ranger.

str 12 We are starting a 1st level and we are using the core players
dex 14 hand book. my weapon is going to be a repeating cross bow
con 11 (fit to my size) and my melee weapon well be some type of
int 15 gnome weapon. my character is a skilled based rogue.
wiz 11
chr 11

ok my group is going to start playing pathfinder this week for the first time. so i am going to play a gnome/rogue starting at 1st level. i want this character to be skill based but still be able to do good damage if i get the sneak damage. I will be using some type of range weapon and atk from stealth if i get the chance. i just need help finding out what weapon to use. for melee weapon i dont have a clue but it will be gnomish. so far it looks like my first feat is going into stealthy and then the feats i gain i would really like to put in to things that enhance my skills. i want to do that and use my rogue talents to work up my damage in combat. any help would be great guys.

thanx
