I was wondering if there was a Bearman race in one of the beastiaries or other books? My son would love to play and he has asked if he can play a bear ranger.

Not sure if there is already a race out there or if I need to create my own.

I've read up a little on the Summoner and they do seem rather powerful.

I'm very new to Pathfinder (and D&D type d20 games in general) and am still getting to grips with the core classes and their level progression.

How does the Unchained version of the Rogue improve on the Core version?

I'm considering running this campaign too and I'm quite new to Pathfinder itself. This leads to a couple of questions, connected to the classes highlighted in this thread - Summoner and Rogue.

Why is the Summoner such a 'bad' class and why is the Rogue under powered?

Hi there, I'm another newcomer via the fantastic Humble Bundle you lovely lot at Paizo ran.

Someone also suggested I look at the free stuff to go along with it, the Dungeon Bash 1 & 2 and the GM and Player kits which look like they are excellent additions to the Beginners Box, which I will be using for the first few games I run.

I'm a newcomer to Pathfinder (courtesy of the Humble Bundle) and have yet to purchase any of the Bestiary books.

I was wondering if there were alternative builds for Skeletons and Zombies based on different races, for example zombie Ogres or lizardmen etc?

I've just picked up the Beginner Box and Core rules as part of the fantastic Humble Bundle deal and I am planning on using it to introduce my 9 year old son to a full scale RPG (we have played Dungeon Saga a little already and he regularly plays Minecraft and Teraria on his XBox) as well as running the game on a pbp forum soon.

At first glance the box and all of the other published guides look to be of a very high standard. I am looking forward to playing.

And stop bringing the charity donation up as a reason people shouldn't be upset. It's not like all the money is for charity, they get 15%. Paizo is still taking the lion's share of the revenue from this promotion, more than 4 times what they're giving to charity from each purchase, and if they weren't dropping the ball so hard they'd be making a lot of loyal new customers as well who would probably buy more from them in the future. The charity donation isn't a shield against providing proper customer service.

You get to choose how much goes to charity when you pay for your Bundle... There's a slider bar that determines how much goes to charity and how much goes to Paizo.

IT guy here. Yes, it is perfectly possible to prepare for this kind of workload. For example, companies like EA Sports does it every time they get ready to release a new game. They outsource and get enough temporary processing power (in the cloud) to handle the predicted workload.

I imagine companies like EA Sports have more than 50 staff across their IT department, never mind the whole company and a few $billion to throw at outsourcing IT.

Is anybody literally going to die if they have to wait a few days to download a game book, regardless of how much they paid?

Was doing the same thing to me (iPhone though). Usually the "cannot establish secure connection" happens when the site or part of it goes down for maintenance. It is just your Android though or have you tried any other devices?

I'm at work currently, so only tried my phone. When I get home I have a Hudl2 Android tablet and will try on that..

Often the problem seems (for me at least) to be a slow/busy connection with mobile data, it usually is fine when I'm using wi-fi, but today neither works.

I know the slow download issue is well documented here so I'm not going to labour the point.

However, I do have an issue when trying to log on to the download section of the Paizo site from my Android device, it simply gives an error message saying 'cannot establish a secure connection' when I try to access it, either using mobile data or a wi-fi connection...

Any clues as to why and how to rectify it?
