For the past few weeks, my players have expressed anxiety, stress, or complete disinterest when it comes to spending their hard-earned gps in town. Initially, I told them to just suck it up and do it, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized the current system we have could use a fix.
Now, of course who am I to think I know better than the paizo developers? Well I've been playing pathfinder for five years now, and I've been a hardcore GM for four of them. So it's not like I don't know what I'm talking about. Not to mention that we can all agree that sometimes the development team doesn't always hit a home run every time.
I also understand that my idea is only a variant rule. If you guys like this, feel free to use it. If not, then don't! It's as simple as that.
