I think that it might make a good tie in, but it doesn't say so in the description. So while its mechanically legal, there should be a good RP reason for it. Like every time you go to a new plane, you look for new specimens to study; or you lived on a farm with giant oozes as a child. Either way, while its RAW legal, I would run it by the DM and see if they're good with it. I think its a cool idea, though.

The effects of spells cast off of candle of invocation last for as long as the candle burns, but if the caster casts a spell with a longer duration, it can persist past the length of the burning candle.
The incense of meditation specifically says that its effects persist for 24 hours, so any of your spells shared are maximized for the duration, then if they're not used up they change back to normal.
Your extra spell slots should go away when your candle of invocation burns out, so any unused spells leave unused.
If your allies cast within the first hour, then they should get the full benefits of the maximization.
