Here is a list of every page that is messed up:
20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26 (for a comparison of how these images should look, see page 27), 31, 32, 43, 45, 47, 55, 58, 59, 60, (look at 61 those are good images), top image of 66, bottom image of 67, bottom of 68, 108, 109, 112 (one of the worst), 113, 114, 115, 119, 121, 124, 125, (look at the difference between 125 and the spread on 126-127), 128, 129, 139, 140, 149 (Lem's sketch), 154, 155, 156 (I own the AP these images are in and they look better, so I know a high res is available!), bottom 158, 159, 164, 166 (IT'S THE CORE BOOK IMAGE, IT GETS PRINTED AT A LARGER SIZE ALL THE TIME!!), 167, 168, 169, 171, 172, 181, 182, 197, spread on 232-233, 234, 235, 236, 237, 241 (oh god), 247, 251, and finally 256 even his own photo is pixelated...

I'm not pointing all these out to be an a-hole. It's because I REALLY like his art and it/he deserve so much more than this. His art is part of the reason I fell in love with Eberron.

After examining all the pages I'm in agreement with LMPjr007 this looks like a photoshop/scanning issue.

Any chance of people getting refunds for a poorly put together art book? At least a third of the images are pixelated as if the layout artist doesn't know how to use InDesign. It's really disappointing that this book had one job, show off art, and it does it poorly.

Why can't you guys release pawns and minis WITH the AP instead of months after?

Overall I think this thing is great, it has tables on it that SHOULD be on the GM's screen which makes it useful to have at the table. But it has 2 folder pockets that are too small to fit a standard 8.5x11 sheet of paper. Making the folder aspect useless. I hope this is corrected in the next print of these.

Dr. Dink, your items have arrived safely at yonder store

We need 2 Pathfinder Society members to get down here at the store and play Rise of the Goblin Guild, a season 4 module! STAT

Aly, if you want to look into it that will be great. Just let them know it's about the Arcade Night on the 25th.

So I see there is a warhorn for the UNCA day, but just to be clear non-UNCA students can't come to the game otherwise they will charge us for security. I don't know if they'll be checking student ID's at the door or what, I haven't been given many details other than it's happening.

Thank you Aly, I'll put your slot in at 5:30 as well just to make things easier.

I really appreciate everyone's help.

So yeah, as Mr. Dinketry said we have some big news.

Monte Cook is coming to The Wyvern's Tale.

Yes, that Monte Cook.

It happens in the summer of 2013, so there is planning time. He is running a kickstarter for his new RPG Numenera and we backed it and were lucky enough to get in on one of two spots available.

He is going to fly here from Seattle, give a talk, do a book signing, and run a game at the store. I almost passed out when we finalized it.

Tell your friends, it's going to be amazing.

Aly We Be Goblins sounds great, everyone can be loud and have fun so it will fit right in. Is there a time slot you want? Anywhere between 5pm & 1am

I'll be leaving around 10:30 but you guys can keep running your games after that if you'd like.
Stu is running Intros 1 & 2 (I can't remember the name) at 5:30

Thanks so much for your help!

Aly, do you know if you can run an pre-gen scenario? If I can get 2 GM's, and I have one guy doing warmachine demos and we're running board games I think we'll be set for an awesome evening.

It's happening in the food court in Highsmith

Stu, I don't have a time I that I know of, but the sooner the better.

OH, also Kevin I don't have your number, but DCC #70 is here, and #69 should show up tomorrow!

Nope, it's Tale.
Also, new issue of Kobold Quarterly is in. We ordered 2 extra copies (Jason one is behind the counter for you) If this is something we should keep more of in stock just let me know.

Carin has asked me to post this reminder about the game tomorrow here at the store

http://warhorn.net/asheville-pfs/schedule/day.php?date=2012-08-09

kthxbye!

Also, I know Stu said he could run a game for us at UNCA on the 25th. I need to have the information to them by Friday, so is anyone else able to run a beginner scenario for UNCA students? The evening goes from 5PM-1AM and we can do it anytime during that period.
Please drop me a line: simeon AT theWyvernsTaleAvl DOT com

Hey Obscure, can you give me a shout at the store soon? We are cleaning up the posting board and I was wondering if you could make a slightly smaller post about your sweet miniature painting? We're starting to run out of room O_o

-Sim

Board Game night is indeed at Firestorm Cafe, starting at 6pm
Thank you!

Jake, can I borrow some of your minis for my game Saturday?

Hello fellow Pathfiders. I was looking over the past couple of pages and see that colleges are on the radar. UNCA has approached us to help co-sponsor their Arcade Night which happens semesterly. They want us to run a tabletop room(s) from 5PM - 1AM August 25. I would love if some GMs might be interested in running games during that time. I don't have all the details on our end yet (Such as what is being run when, if we're doing pre-sign up or just taking walk-ins) If people are interested in running games drop me line simeon AT TheWyvernsTaleAvl DOT com

One logistical thing I should mention though, if this turns into a big society event (i.e. non-UNCA students will be there gaming) UNCA is required to have campus security there, which will cost money either on our end or theirs. I'm unclear on that detail. So I need to know if that is what will happen. But if you guys participate I would like it to focus on getting new people into Pathfinder, RPGs, etc.

If anyone is interested let me know, and I'll get you guys more details.

Are the designs for the shirt set in stone at this point? If whoever is in charge of the shirts could give me a call at the store tomorrow I'd like to hammer out some details.

-sim sim

I hear The Wyvern's Tale would totally stock APL shirts

This thread has everything you need:

Also, we stay open til 10 Fri & Sat

Just as head's up guys & girls: The 28th of this month is reserved for our first Warmachine/Hordes tournament. That falls on an an official off week for you guys, but I just wanted to let you know ahead of time incase you wanted another session in this month.

Are you guys talking about running this Saturday (14th) or next Saturday (21st)? Either is good, I just want to make sure our calendar is correct.

anyone? GMs? These players want to be killed!

I have 4 players at the store right now looking for a GM. If anyone wants to show up and splatter them that would be RAD.

You're a good man

Also, this just in. Pathfinder Society Fields Guides

Gooooooood Morning. I didn't know how to get ahold of Paul and/or Justin so this is to let them know that the giant d20's have arrived. Have a great day!

Last minute post, but we're moving in furniture today so if you want to help move things feel free to show up around noon at the store. Thanks!

again, 347 Merrimon ave. Google has directions

-Simeón

347 merrimon ave, it's on our Facebook page.

As an update, I've had a cold for about 3 days so I want to be able to sleep in tomorrow. This means we'll be starting around noon moving things from downstairs to upstairs. When anyone shows up with truckage, we'll go over to sam's club and pick up the chairs for the upstairs. It's not a terrible amount of work so it shouldn't take long.

-Simeón

Hi guys, I've seen several posts about trucks so I'm unsure as to who has one and who doesn't. We can start at any time tomorrow. If you could drop me a line simeon AT thewyvernstaleavl DOT com we can arrange what is happening. Thank you!

-Simeón

FYI, Dain is running the new module at noon, and Jake is running the new module at 5:30. So the other 2 slots are still open for other adventures

-Simeón

Occupancy permit granted. If someone can help us (i.e. if you have a truck) Friday, then we can host you Saturday.

-Simeón

Hello my fellow Pathfinders, Simeón here from The Wyvern's Tale.

So we have our schedule for opening, assuming all GM's agree and the city doesn't **** block us for some weird permit reason.

12:00PM
Pathfinder 1
Pathfinder 2
Hackmaster or GURPS

2:00PM
DCC
Monsters! Monsters!

5:30
Pathfinder 3
Pathfinder 4
Fiasco

We would like one of the noon games to be the Free RPG Day module and one of the 5:30 games to be the new module as well, with the other two slots open to your interpretation. Keep in mind brand new people could be wandering in at any time. We're not sure if we are going to do a sign up sheet or first come first served on the games.

As for gaming on the 9th (this Saturday) we don't have our occupancy permit yet, so if 20 people are there we could get in a lot of trouble. I'm supposed to hear something by Friday (BUT this is the city government we're talking about here) so if you guys want to wait until then to figure something out that's fine. As soon as I know something I'll probably send James an email or FB message.

Also, I need to get the modules out to the GM's who will be running them, drop me a line
simeon AT thewyvernstaleavl DOT com to set up a time for me to get them to you.

Thanks everyone!

Hello guys, this is Simeón, one of 2 proprietors of The Wyvern's Tale. We really appreciate your support. We realize the name is a bit strange-while it is true that the original store we are buying out had a focus on board games (and we intend to continue that focus) we are both avid role-players and want to support the very under-supported role-playing community in our area. To that end, we have decided upon the name of The Wyvern's Tale to evoke the sense of a fantasy tavern. It may not be immediately recognized by many non-gamers, we believe the name and our signage will be intriguing enough to draw in foot-traffic. Our focus is entirely local and we will be networking to that end and we could really use your support to that end. We want to have heavier RPG support for the area and as a DM and player in several Pathfinder games having the APL there would be amazing. If you have any questions on the matter please email me: nillic DOT axehammer AT gmail DOT com and I'll tell you about it. Also, the ENworld post here: http://www.enworld.org/forum/news/319001-unfriendly-lgs.html has a lot of info, and we will keep posing updates on our facebook page. Thanks guys!

You're right talast. You guys are making this too complicated. The real use for animal companions have an INT of 3 is so they benefit from bardic performance.

Blue Rose seems like a solid system in itself, I'm wondering why you want to convert it at all? Blue Rose is meant to be much more subtle than the action packed fantasy fest that Pathfinder is.
