To all those who made their Knowledge ( Int ) checks,

If you have a human who became a mythic character or PC, do they get a 1st level human bonus feat.

Most of us know that for example all humans get a bonus feat unless they use archtypes and other cool examples

but how does this logic apply to the mythic tiers?

i can find no resolution or clarification in the rules so i ask here

thoughts always welcome

Thanks in advance,

Michael

It is clearly functioning as a 5 foot step. Note: does not provoke, takes up your next turn's five foot step. Also, it does not require you to have movement left over from last turn.

Climb is not part of a movement. It is it's own sort of move action.

Also, climb does not allow you to scale people enemies, just objects.

Since a player gets 1 standard, 1 move, 1 swift or immediate action...why can't a player move into the same square as an enemy due to Swarm Fighters rules of Shared Space. Then Take a standard action to hit them and set up bonuses for the the other pc's. Wait for the enemys turn. They attack and miss. Now sidestep triggers, as long as they stay within the enemys threatened reach they can move all around them or in any direction since sidestep does not specify directionality! I mean its clear they want you to side step all around them for clear flanking rules but i contend that swarm fighter along with a base class skill of climb and huge bonuses to climb along with a strict wording of sidestep does not ban you from climbing. Because moving and climbing can be used as the same action which by extension an immediate action as well. It seems always reactionary and catlike. Your constantly ducking and moving all around the enemy and since your in their square i find no where in the rules where climbing on an enemy is somehow forbidden.

For Clarity:

moving 5 feet could be either an immediate action or a move action per the rules. But you can only do one or the other.

Shared Space allows you to share the space of an enemy.

Questions:

Does climbing also work with shared space?

Can you move and climb as a move action and an immediate action?

There is one thing you can not climb, A perfectly smooth, flat vertical (or inverted) surface cannot be climbed.

Which means everything else is a DC Climb Skill Check.

I am not seeking to be argumentative but only to learn and i have personally looked up every question so far in the SRD just in case i might be wrong. Please feel free to continue to share your thoughts as i sleep on these questions.

Because you can't 5 foot step while climbing unless you have a climb speed, and you can't use a climb check to climb a foe (unless the foe is so large they count as terrain.) What you really want is a "mount hostile animal" skill check. Unfortunately, (or fortunately) pathfinder does not have rules for using ride with hostile mounts. Or sentient mounts, let alone hostile sentient mounts.

Your logic seems sound but this presumes that "you may move 5 feet" is the same as "take a 5 foot step".

you may move 5 feet means you may move up to your speed but the limit is 5 feet

where you take a 5 foot step is a different action altogether.

if you may move 5 feet wins then climbing becomes part of the action

where when you take take a 5 footer you may not.

Again its a semantics question. With emphasis on this rare character who is sharing space with another which is only allowed in this instance, who has climb as a class skill whether that be intentional or not is hard to say.

I think a little clarity is needed here because i see your logic but my mind does not ccnnect the dots the same way your doing...thank you for the input though

I kinda laughed at myself for even posting this. I mean this is mostly a joke but at it's heart is a serious question. So here's the setup...

If you play a 7th Level Kobold Fighter, then you gain Share Space at 5th level and a feat at 7th. At 7th level you take the feat Sidestep, mostly for kicks but also to get a funny reaction from your local DM.

Sidestep says, "Whenever an opponent misses you with a melee attack, you may move 5 feet as an immediate action so long as you remain within that opponent’s threatened area. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. If you take this step, you cannot take a 5-foot step during your next turn. If you take an action to move during your next turn, subtract 5 feet from your total movement. "

So why can't you climb up the creatures leg? or body?

Since Climbing is part of movement, so it’s generally part of a move action (and may be combined with other types of movement in a move action).

Presuming max ranks in Climb, 19 Dex, you have...7 ranks - 1 or 2 for low strength + 3 class skill + 3 Athletic Prowesss (Swarm Fighter Ability) =
+ 10 or so check

I get that movement and the spirit of the rules is referring to one of the 8 squares around the creature, but i find it funny to ask...

why can't you climb up 5 feet, as a sidestep?

Hopefully you got a kick out of this as much as I did, please share your thoughts.

To whom this concerns,

Can you increase the damage of your opportunity attacks, or the number of them besides thru Combat Reflexes?

Is there a Prestige class that deals with Opportunity Attacks? Like increased Damge and so on....its very hard to search for this as the results are pretty high...

I have a kobold swarm fighter with Combat reflexes and its hard to find any prestige classes to begin with so use with shared space which in and of itself needs clarity....

Thanks for your time,

Michael

To whom this concerns,

Share Space (Ex)

At 5th level, the swarm fighter can move into the space of another creature at least one size category larger than she is. She may end her movement in, and make attacks from, that space. She must succeed at the Acrobatics check for moving through an occupied square to move into a space occupied by an enemy. While sharing the space of another creature, she gains a +2 shield bonus to AC and a +1 circumstance bonus on Reflex saves.

This is a tricky wording with lots if unique sub-questions....

Do you treat the creature the kobold is sharing the space with as basically helpless? since helpless is the only condition that a character can pass over with movement?

which is...treated as having a Dexterity of 0 (–5 modifier). Melee attacks against a helpless target get a +4 bonus (equivalent to attacking a prone target). Ranged attacks get no special bonus against helpless targets. Rogues can sneak attack helpless targets.

And your Flanking since you draw a line from your space, his, to their space, his,...to check to see if it passes thru opposite borders...which is hard to say and yields an additional + 2 to attacks on top of the + 6

I checked the Game Guide, The Core Rulebook, Google and i cannot find clarity on this so i seek the Lore with you

Please share your thoughts,

Michael

What about the next sentence ?

====================

Quote " If a creature has only one natural attack, it is always made using the creature’s full base attack bonus and adds 1-1/2 times the creature’s Strength bonus on damage rolls.

This increase does not apply if the creature has multiple attacks but only takes one. If a creature has only one type of attack, but has multiple attacks per round, that attack is treated as a primary attack, regardless of its type. "

====================

so this contradicts what you bolded out.

A kobold has 1 natural Attack and therefore it never takes a penalty for using it

IS THIS CORRECT ?

If a Kobold Swarm Fighter takes:

Tail Terror ( Sweeper )
Dervish Dance, cause of a high dexterity
Precise Strike as a teamwork feat to set up the combo

Then they get 2 attacks even at Level 1 at your Full BAB, Both are made using Dexterity for attack and damage, and if flanking adds 1d6 to EACH attack, as well as knocking the enemy Prone, and at Level 5, enters the creatures space and presumably starts way laying and laughing at them

1 Weapon Finesse, Mobility ( free )
2 Bravery + 1, Safety in Numbers, Precise Strike (Combat, Teamwork)
3 Dervish Dance, Armor Training 1
4 Tail Terror, Weapon Focus, Dex + 1
5 Weapon Specialization, Weapon Training 1, Share Space

The quandary would be that the tail slap is a Natural Attack, and is also a Secondary Attack. Yet the Pathfinder SRD says that if a creature has only one natural attack they get to use their full BAB. Plus the wording on dervish dance refers to all melee attacks.

On one hand you clearly see the intent of a swarm attack. Knock prone, then attack, and never let them get up.

I don't see any rules confusion so this post is to double check that as well as to see your thoughts since i was giggling like a school girl with this build.

Thoughts? Concerns?

Please let me know,

Michael

To Blackstorm,

The Phylactery states that you take on the original owner who made it.

Logic dictates that by creating a Buh-roken 22nd Level Wizard...

Then creating a 1st Level Fighter according to the crazy DM's instructions that the 1st level becomes the 22nd Level because i created a 1 st level character according to her rules, then i used a clearly cheap exploit to have a 22nd level character, violated the ECL of 10, but ironically staying within the constraints of the original

Simply put, it is cheating, it should not be allowed, but this is DM more concerned with throwing crazy stuff at us, then being concerned with our broken our characters are gonna be

I don't agree personally with her play style but i submit this is what the DM wants, so this is what i am gonna bring...unless you see a build better than a 22nd level wizard or one that is easier to play

i still have not played my first pathfinder game, but playing with a maxed out wizard should be relatively easy since i will make ummm what is the word here, attacks that are already figured...like a maximized disintegrate as long as its not over CL 10 or 11

or maximized fireball, or maximized magic missile and so on

heck i dont want to play at 10th level because your missing half the campaign already but you have to trust your DM even when it seems hopeless

so again i apologize for asking you to break the game but this is what was asked of us so in turn i give back

i hope to find your favor or gain my sanity back,

-Michael

to Umbranus, possibly others

There are no limits

We can do anything, specify anything, create anything

Heck we can have an Intelligent Item of our choosing

As long as i stay within the Gold Limit of a 10th Level Character which is 62,000 from Pathfinder Rules, create up to a 5th level pathfinder Character, with a 5 LA or any combination, we are good to go

anything and i mean anything is allowed

break away

have fun or have fun making crazy suggestions

this one is mine, but its not final, think of this as a what if you had a bit of unlimited power but only til say level 5 any items any books any feats any whatever

yeah, its that kinda game so its gonna be fun when i give the others PC's a 1 lb bag of Astral Diamonds and say here, buy something ")

other suggestions?

My2Copper has the best answer, in my humble opinion, so far...

Lets say a 22nd Human Level Wizard builds a Phylactery of the Failed.

Then they cast, Wish, and say they want to start over.

A level 1 Fighter named Dummy finds the book and after failing the check or save, and after 1 day is basically reborn as a...

22nd Level Wizard plus the Lich Template

Now they get up to a Level Adjustment 5 along with 62,000 gold for being Level 10...or is this odd case...again

because of the word, " If the cursed creature is killed by the parasitic soul, her body is animated 1 day later as a lich with the same memories and abilities of the magic-user who created the phylactery, essentially allowing that spellcaster to finally achieve lichdom. "

Using Monster Manual 1 whats the best Template?

Would you say, " Celestial Lich Wizard 22 " or CLW for the extended cleric pun?

all this because of 1 item...

now i am got to make a 22nd Level Wizard, that's gonna take some time...

thoughts?

Lets try to clear up some confusion...

We need up to 5 levels from Any Pathfinder Character

So lets say Human Fighter 1 cause it gets bonus feats, which in this case would be 2 feats total one would be for combat feats and another would be for anything

So we have a level 1 Pathfinder Human Fighter called Dummy for this post

Well Dummy here finds a Phylactery of the Failed in the woods for example

========================================================
Reference:

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/artifacts/minor-artifacts/phylactery-of -the-failed
=========================================================

By opening the Phylactery you have to make a DC 30 Will saving throw or be affected by a disease-like curse known as a parasitic soul

Dummy still being a Level 1 Pathfinder Fighter is not gonna make this and intentionally fails or even tries and fails, by failing you die and...

After 1 day, Dummy becomes a Lich

So now we have a Human Lich Fighter 1

===============================================================
Reference:

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/templates/lich

==============================================================

The Cr here is + 2

This i believe means that you gain 2 levels due to your unfortunate transformation and become ....

Human Lich Fighter 3 due to the adding of the new template

Now we reference, 3.5 DnD Rules where we are tasked with adding a Level Adjustment of + 5 or more or less so long as the ECL ( or effective character level ) does not exceed 10

Our Human Lich Fighter 3 adds the Demilich Template

========================================================

Again for Reference:

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/demilich.htm

========================================================

This requires a creature to first be a Lich and is a + 6 Challenge Rating or + 6 Level Adjustment

We check some basic math again

Human Lich Fighter 3 + 6 Levels of Demilich Template
< is less than 10 >

So we meet this crazy standard since we know have a...

Human Demilich Fighter 9

or a 1st level human fighter with 2 templates added that raise its level to level 9

We still 1 level to spare now

If we take another level in Fighter

i think we become Fighter 10 and gain the new BAB, Fort, Reflex, Will, and special abilities of the previous level except for Level 1

If we take a level in Mythic we gain whatever Mythic Level 2 entails

Either way its a tricky call

We have 2 Systems at play here ( 3.5 rules of DnD ) and ( Pathfinder )

We have a 1st level Character with 2 templates adding to them

We have the 1st level character after the templates are added gaining a new level and trying to figure out what they are at this point

We finally have a DM who truly wants to run a homebrew high powered campaign with crazy broken characters from 2 different sources and worser still is leaving DM calls and interpretations up to the player

Given this, i feel i described the above correctly, but i need someone to double check to make sure that i followed all the errata involved in this crazy combination or show me where my logic or math is off

I truly hope this helps explain the complexity of the complex situation

Let me know your thoughts and feedback and thank you in advance

-Michael

To the Heroes of this World,

Ok i read and looked up your responses and came up with this...

Let me know how broken this is and where things can be improved

================================================================

Once upon a time there was a

Human Fighter Level 1 Weapon Focus ( Unarmed Strike )
along with Improved Unarmed Strike

Human Fighter Level 2 Bravery + 1
Racial Heritage ( Undead )

seemed like a good idea at the time and undead have good bonuses?

Then one day, you find a box in the woods, maybe it found us? Maybe becoming Undead affected our thinking and we became more stupid?

Lets open it...its a Phylactery of the Failed...you clearly do not make your save and become a Lich...it also tells you Congratulations you just bypassed the 120,000 gold requirement used to make me

A Lich is a Pathfinder Template that is CR + 2, so i am guessing your level 4. In 3.5 a Lich is a + 4 Level Adjustment.

But your day just got worse, maybe better?, because we add the Demilich template from DnD fulfilling the requirements to this crazy game since its only a + 6 Level Adjustment and since Lichs are in Monster Manual 1 so too are Demilichs even though they are not, they must be hidden

But your day is not over yet, for in power we grow and we add the Mythic Lich Template as our 3rd Template i think and we make sure no one can kill that phylactery anymore

So quick recap or for those browsing down....

Human and Undead Fighter 2 Mythic, Demi, Lich

49,000 Gold to spend on what i wonder?

I think, more so i pray, that i built this correctly or at least i got the logic part down and then its time to construct this on paper

So is the above correct, is this possible?

Is there something better?

LOL, maybe my attack should be with my phylactery, like swing it like a club, i mean it is a Minor Artifact now

Thoughts? Deep Concerns? Suggestions?

-Michael

To all Heroes,

This one may be an odd request but i hope you enjoy making this or providing feedback...

The DM's rules

< Any Class from Any Pathfinder Book, including 3rd Party stuff > up to level 5

then

< Add any Template(s) from Monster Manual 1 up to a Level Adjustment of 5 >, you could also reference Savage Species for More Templates since the Monster Manual 1 is a bit slow and lacking in explaining LA

This should make a character Level 10. Or ECL 10.

There are 3 people total including myself. The reborn Dragon with like a 54 strength, a monk and us or me.

Starting Gold is 49,000 which is typical for 10th level characters

Point Buy is rolled already, my stats are: 18, 17, 16, 15, 12, 12

Any thoughts on what you would consider a low level fun build?

I tried Inquisitor 4/Cleric 1 Domains War(Tactics) with Share the Initiative to share a +23 initiative

Kind of a difficult start for a new player like who has yet to play a Pathfinder Game, but you take what you can get cause the closest store to me is 1 hour away and who wants to drive that far...

Again any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks in advance...Michael
