We Be Goblins turned into a campaign for us and Rempty became a PC (Bard). Here's the song we came up with for her.

REMPTY'S SONG

Rempty small but very sly,
She sing a song or tell a lie,
She make you laugh, she make you cry
Then Rempty make you die die die!

Ah well. I'll just have to limit my enthusiasm to being extremely pleased with this product then. :p

I'm hesitant to argue as such, but given this is the internet, I suppose it's mandatory. In my view, since the product is tied by name directly to the AP, it wouldnt seem unreasonable in potential future releases to lean a little more towards those using it as a complementary AP product rather than those looking to purchase it as a standalone.

It would seem to me that even people not running RoTRL or playing PF would still derive benefit from something like: "Kendra is the mayor of Sandpoint and can often be found...." followed by some comments on personality, mannerisms and so forth.

Your point is valid and well taken. But I think they are trying to hit a broader audience. From my perspective, as a GM who doesn't run Pathfinder but does employ vast quantities of Gamemastery cards, I appreciate that they are keeping them more generic. All my worlds are homemade, and many of the systems are as well. If they were statted up or had world-specific text I would honestly be less likely to buy them. They'd still be a great product, but they would move from the category of "must-have!" to "well, maybe..." At least for me. I think keeping them generic allows Paizo to hit a wider market than they would otherwise.

Sounds really cool. I don't play Pathfinder but I buy the GameMastery Cards obsessively and have always been impressed with their quality. The Pathfinder Adventure Paths have always sounded pretty cool though.

Your post is particularly interesting to me because I have been running and playing L5R for the past 10 years now, and I have to say it is my favorite RPG of all time. However, coming up with new plots after all these years can be tricky. Nice to know Adventure Paths might offer some solutions.

The other thing I wish L5R had was more support product like the aforementioned GameMastery Cards. I custom made my own L5R version of the Plot Twist Cards, but something like the Item Cards would be nice (excited for Jade Regent!).

I wonder if any of the other Adventure Paths would be well suited to conversion. Thoughts?

Oh man, I am so glad this is getting reprinted. I've been scouring the net trying to find a copy. Once the reprint comes out, I think I'll buy four just to be on the safe side :)
