You mentioning you're having a problem enjoying the adventure...is it the slow plodding pace?

I had that same problem...which ultimately led to my quitting the campaign. In the time it took us to complete a normal Paizo adventure, we had only progressed through 2.5 of the Zeitgeist books for the campaign.

It started out fun, but the pacing was far too slow for me. I don't really have a solution for that.

Absolutely no, i love this campaign.

If there's a problem is more linked to how other players behave. I mean, it is a mysterious and investigative campaign and everybody behave in a mysterious way...even the players! So it's always a problem if you can trust anybody.
..and that i feel my bard is a bit inferior to the other, expecially in this part where many have truesight or trueseeing (and we are at level 9..)

Other than that i really like zeitgeist and any advice i ask is in order to fully experience it more :)

My master finally decided that the book shows where the ancient's ziggurats are and how to extract part of their power

Very nice suggestions, thank you so much!

If you have any other idea feel free to write me, i'd love to have more advices, also about what should i do to enjoy more the adventure

I'm still investigating on the Ancients. Is permanent arcane sight related to their culture?

I can already speaker ancient lenguage, thanks to my backround, and a skill bonus is a little..i don't know..sad? Will i need those boni?

If It can help, the item/effect should cost around 8000/10000gold

Edit: if my PC wasn't reincarnated (onehotted by the steelshaper) maybe orc eldritch heritage wuold have been nice

Editedit: or maybe not, since before he was an half-elf and he found the book inside his evil(?)elf father house

What do you think about this:
A magic item that emulates the occultist's divination implement?
Something like the monk's belt/robe

Usually he likes to screw up his players, bit nothing so extreme to kill you because he made you find something. Probably it will be a grey item, with a "power up" tought by me and a backlash tought by him

...it also could be possibile he is simply lazy XD asked me to come il with an idea XD

Hi everyone,

I'm playing, as you can guess, an Archaeologist in the Zeitgeist campaign.
We just hit the 8th level and my character just found a mysterious book about the Ancients, the mysterious prehistorical population that inhabited the world centuries, strangely able to weild gold...

My master told me that the book, once decoded, will bestow me some awesome ability / will become magical.

I searched for some appropriate wondorous item, with no success.

Can you help me to find/create a nice but useful item/effect?

Bard 12

1/day—alter self
Bard (Archaeologist) Spells Known (CL 12th; concentration +16)
4th (4/day)—dimension door, echolocation[UM], freedom of movement, greater invisibility
3rd (5/day)—arcane concordance[APG], haste, reviving finale[APG] (DC 17), see invisibility
2nd (6/day)—blur, glitterdust (DC 16), heroism, invisibility, mirror image
1st (6/day)—charm person (DC 15), comprehend languages, cure light wounds, expeditious retreat, feather step[APG] (DC 15), sleep (DC 15)
0 (at will)—daze (DC 14), detect magic, light, message, read magic, resistance
--------------------

About the spells:

-see invisibility and echolocation look a bit redundant.
-Of all the 3rd level spells, reviving finale looks a bit meh in my opinion
-blur and mirror image are also redundant. Ok, you can cast blur on allies, but do you really have all this time during the combat?

In my experience spending more than three rounds buffing is a bit a waste. Heroism has a long duration so no problem, but when the combat begins i would cast mirror image and than kick as hard as possible. Every round i cast something not immediately useful is a round where enermies can land a crit.

everybody love charm person, but when you reach level 12, DC15 is a bit low and sleep is even worse.
I don't know if those are pfs legal, but why i don't see timely inspiration? And/or gallant inspiration? saving finale? liberating chant? or bladed dash could be nice to go fast in certain positions.

Phalanx formation is good if you play a map and spaces are limitated, otherwise you could skip it.

And why the longsword+2? use the lance and grab a magic knife in case you get swallowed or need to be extra stealty. Or a spiked gauntlet

Hi everyone,
i began a couple months ago a steampunk/lovectraftian campaign and looks like we'll hit level 20 relatively fast.
Can anybody give me any advice on my character? And maybe a shopping list?

Level 5
Class:Bard Archaeologist
Race: half-elf(ancestral arms: elven branched spear)

Str 11, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 14, Wis 10, Cha 14

Traits
fate's favored
vagabond child

Feats
Weapon finesse
Combat reflex
Power attack(legal with belt of strenght?)

since the PCs are almost always in their home city, I've take the rogue talent terrain mastery
