This is my big concern - I've seen maps given as multiple layers but not a specific flip map. I will just start drafting and see how clear It looks. You make some strong points
I recently played through an adventure path with some friends and one of the monsters struck me as cool to design a weapon inspired by the fact that it murdered half the party. Far as I can tell it only exist in this stand alone adventure path booklet and I included some flavor text to remind the reader about the creature but all abilities on the weapon are from items found in the Pathfinder Reference Document. Should I alter the theme or does that matter in terms of fitting within the superstar rules?

However, this is a competition to help Paizo fond more game writing talent, thus an understanding of game mechanics, formatting, etc. and a willingness to work within the set limits is important. Well put - I have been placing more weight on technically proficient when it comes down to the wire like that. Hopefully its a learning opportunity for the author.

(IIRC, Paizo's willing to use it in their own products but does not want it in others'.) You should be fine just using the name of the product (in italics), but be sure you get it right, i.e. Game Mastery Guide. Thank you for the input. Is it accurate to put the source between parentheses? (Game Mastery Guide) I was reviewing how it was done in a few critiqued items last year.
Salutations item creators - I'v read through the debates on hyper linking and I want to ensure I include a proper citation for for a magical effect. As I believe it appears in text a citation should appear as follows Words about the cool thing and funny effect you may not know (<i>Game Masters Guide p. 123</i>) Is that accurate? Regards
