Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a feat with which, if you have an empty (off)hand, you could use a weapon in your main hand to disarm someone and empty off hand to automatically pick up the disarmed weapon?
That way you could use a weapon which has disarm property and grab the weapon as if doing it unarmed... you can do almost the same thing by getting improved unarmed strike (that way u dont provoke AoO and can grab the weapon) but u cannot use your weapon to help u, which doesnt make much sense imho...
the feat could be something like
prereq: improved disarm
If you have a free off hand while disarming someone you can automatically pick up the disarmed weapon
