Ok, I've been playing this game for 10 years now and I encountered something I've never thought about. Most of my gaming career has been GMing, rather than playing. My question is thusly: When a PC gains a level, do their experience points reset to 0 or do they cumulate? I have always had players exp reset to 0 upon gaining a new level. It made making a new level a big deal. But recently someone told me I was doing it wrong but I can't find it in RAW or anywhere on the interwebs. Help is appreciated. Thanks all.

Anyone know of any PFS games in Northern California near Sacramento? I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I'm new to PFS in general. How would I get involved in a game? How much does it cost? Is there a schedule of games I can view to see when I can play?

Hey all, just like the header says. I'm looking for a PF Open RPG game if there's any out there. Not saying any of this is bad but I'd rather not play with min/max players or those focused solely on combat. I'm looking to play a rogue, but will fit in where I can. I am available Fridays, around 9:00pm EST - Whenever

Hey all,

I'm looking to get into this whole PBP thing and need some help. I've never played one before, however I've been playing 3.5 since 2ed and been playing PF for a while now. I also DM my own groups at home.

To make it easier on GMs looking for players I'll post the classes I enjoy. I am really looking for a simple core rule PF game where we dont' have to get all OP or anything.

My favorite classes:
Rogue (usually halfling or dwarf, but race doesn't really matter)
Cleric (usually dwarf)
Fighter (usually human)

Let me know if any of you GMs out there need a player for your PBP game. I'll be more than happy to play.

Hey all,

This is a new campaign for the PBP boards. I as GM can handle no more than four players, as this is my first PBP I've done. Please e-mail me your PF message boards username and character race and class at schaddo.darkwall@gmail.com if you want to play. First four people to e-mail me will get the PC spots.

I'll send character creation instructions to those players that made it. I'll post the PF message board usernames of the PCs here so there's no confusion as to whose playing.

Again, this is my first PBP I've done, so if this isn't the correct way to start this, or if I do something wrong, let me know and I'll correct myself.

I've GM'd many campaigns in the past so I'll just pull one I've done previously. With that being said, my next post will be the PCs usernames!

Hey all,

Waddya say we all make a PF campaign together? I think we could get a pretty good one going with the knowledge and ideas from GMs and players around the world!

Keep in mind though, that everything we say here is technically owned by Paizo. This is taken from the FAQ section of this website (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq#v5748eaic9n1k).

"While Paizo Publishing does not pre-screen message content, Paizo Publishing does reserve the right to edit or remove submitted messages or material at any time. Paizo Publishing is not responsible for the content of messages submitted by users of the site. Users posting messages to the site automatically grant Paizo Publishing the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, sublicense, copy and distribute such messages throughout the world in any media."

This means that if we make a good enough of a campaign, they just might be able to publish it (royalty-free of course.) Keep this in mind, as we just might be writing the next Pathfinder adventure path!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll start. I think the campaign should be designed to get the players from level 1 to level 5. That's a good long time to play, without giving the players the sense that they can't get the BBEG or that he'll always get away.

Who's the arch nemesis? How about a CR 6 necromancer? We can roll up a custom stat block for him and get him pretty powerful, but we gotta give him a weakness too, maybe DR 5/Fire or something. We'll need a few key NPCs too, but I'll leave that up to you guys (I dont' wanna take everything, lol.)

Let's get this campaign rolling! I'm excited to see what we can come up with.

Sovereign Court

Hey all. What kind of campaigns or adventures have you run in the past? I'm looking for another one to bring my group from level 11 onward (not necessarily to level 20 if it's a campaign.)

What do you got? I'm interested to know.

Sovereign Court

Thought this would be fun for the other GMs out there to answer.

1.) You have come to terms with the fact that you will probably never be a player again.

2.) You actually role-play your campaign/adventure *out loud* to yourself in the car just to make sure it sounds right and you're not missing anything.
