Ketu, among his peers stands out in his ability to find and capture food. He has an animalistic sense of what motivates his prey's behaviour. He has an intuitive understanding of landscape and which trails will provide the best cover and opportunities to eat.
As a child he was bitten by a snake he was hunting. He'd killed it and returned home collapsing. The clan burned the snake and prepared the burial pit. As they were taking his lifeless body to the pit, his body started convulsing, his eyes opened and he vomited bright green bile. The clan saw the bile as the poison purged. When he started becoming a man, his eyes changed from hazel to green, his hair from light blond to red. The clan have awe and reverence for ketu, believing there is something of the strength and cunning of the viper in his blood and future lineage.
