He is not god of law but very much a god of order and traditions.

I don't think so. I think he is a god of survival, the initial struggle for the life of one community. There must be some rules to survive, but it must be adaptable, and that is something that not fit with lawful religions, where the things must be donde in the right time, in the right form. Erastil do what it needs to do to ensure the survival of his followers. He dont need strict rituals and holy books containing all the standards.

Hi Folks.
I'm reading the Gods and Magic book, and trying to create the basic of a creation myth for my campaing. I've also done a large work establishing the elven society, taking into account the race (from PF) and the usual alignment (Chaotic Good), witch lend me thinking about a socialist-like community.
After thinking in the aligment theme, I started thinking about the deities alignment, and there I stoped at Erastil's alignment. Why is that deity LG? No strong hierarchy, nor centralized church, no laws etched in stone, etc.
I think that cultural alignment is an evolution, from the initial chaos, to the megacities order. Barbarism is matched with chaos, and civilization is matched with law.
So, to me, the one of the first human deities could not be lawful, despite his community domain. A lot of races form simple communities and are not lawful.
Why is Erastil lawful? Would not be more Neutral or Chaotic?

Before Thassilon came along, it was wilderness inhabited by a territorial people (Shoanti) and a nomadic people (Varisians) who didn't build big long-lasting structures.
The sphinx empire is still in the mystery zone.

From PF1, I thought that both the Shoanti and the Varisian were castes made by the thassilonian to work for them, not that they were pre-existent groups. I guess that Shoanti were brought from Garund to be a military caste and to control the providers, who were the truly aborigens of Varisia, and who were gathered and settled to made them work in the basic fields.

After Dming the first 2 modules of Second Darkness, I'm trying my own sandbox campaing in Mierani Forest.

In other words... we're deliberately NOT saying what created the world and the universe and the multiverse because we don't want that nailed down. Having multiple religion-specific and philosophy-specific theories that often contradict is much better.

Thanks a lot for your answers, I'm dming a campaing in mierani, a need to know something about how was the world before the Earthfall. I've readed that the elves had problems with the violent humans, but don't know if that humans were barbarians or the thassilonian domains, or both. For example, Mierani forest were in the middle between bakrakhan and cyrusian domains, and can't understand why any of them had not conquered that elven kingdom. Also, i'm trying to think about how was the elven culture before the exodus, when they had big kingdoms with very long histories. How was that world? Did they need to struggle to survive against the dragons, the aboleth, etc? Are questions I do just to get a solid background for my campaing.

Thanks, again for all.

Hi everybody.
I'm trying to have a nice idea of the timeline in Golarion History, but I didnt find nothing for the time before the Earthfall. Is Strange to me that there is not even a creation myth in the religions of Golarion, no church says that their God in the Creator, the First One or something like this. It may be argued that it was prehistoric times and nothing is remembered, but the elves departed golarion in that age, and 10000 years are not so much for them, and also are the dragons, some of them are lorekeepers. If someone knows something more of what appears in the Campaing Setting, I will Thanks a lot.

Hi everyone.

I would like to introduce a kind of blind seer, a powerful diviner, but who has loose his sight. My question is, if that character can actually see thanks to his magic, for example, throught darkvision, see invisibility, arcane sight or similar spells made permanent thought a permanency spell.

Darkvision: The subject gains the ability to see 60 feet even in total darkness. Darkvision is black and white only but otherwise like normal sight.

See Invisibility: You can see any objects or beings that are invisible within your range of vision, as well as any that are ethereal, as if they were normally visible. Such creatures are visible to you as translucent shapes, allowing you easily to discern the difference between visible, invisible, and ethereal creatures.

Thank You
