Squeaky Swings And Tall Grass
The Longest Shadows Ever Cast
The Water's Warm And Children Swim
And We Frolicked About In Our Summer Skin

I Don't Recall A Single Care
Just Greenery And Humid Air
Then Labor Day Came And Went
And We Shed What Was Left Of Our Summer Skin

On The Night You Left I Came Over
And We Peeled The Freckles From Our Shoulders
Our Brand New Coats So Flushed And Pink
And I Knew Your Heart I Couldn't Win
Cause The Seasons Change Was A Conduit
And We Left Our Love In Our Summer Skin

It seems to me a strange thing,
mystifying,
that a man like you can waste his time on women of her kind.
Yes I understand that she amuses
but to let her kiss you,
stroke your hair is hardly in your line.

Your cheating heart will make you weep, you'll cry and cry and try to sleep.
But sleep won't come the whole night through, your cheating heart will tell on you.
When tears come down like falling rain, you'll toss around and call my name,
You'll walk the floor the way I do, your cheating heart will tell on you.

And she really gets sparks when she starts to whine
Chrome reversed rims with whitewall slicks
And it turns a quarter mile in one oh six
Door handles are off but you know I'll never miss 'em
They open when I want with the cellunoid system

One man's poison another man's meat
One man's agony another man's treat
Artaud lived with his neck paced firmly in the noose
Eyes black with pain,
Limbs in cramps contorted
The theatre and it's double
The void and the aborted

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
’this could be heaven or this could be hell’
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...

There will be another song for me
For I will sing it
There will be another dream for me
Someone will bring it
I will drink the wine while it is warm
And never let you catch me looking at the sun
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves of my life
You'll still be the one

I am gonna love you till the end
I will love you till I reach the end
I will love you till I die
I will see you in the sky
Tonight

If you're going to go for a body tattoo, I wouldn't suggest your torso. The body changes alot as you age and the front usually grows more than the back. One too many twinkies or a pregnancy will stretch that tattoo all over the place. I actually have several tattoos and the one on my back caught me a hottie. ;)

That thought is the only thing that's stopped me. I had everything picked out and then thought "Wait. I want to have kids...s!**." I'm still playing with the idea of a torso tattoo, and the PG-13 rating of this site is making me hold my tongue as too where specifically, but the possibility of children is still there. So, I'll get my foot and wrist tattoos first.

I like your avvie.

Your Indian Maiden avitar is great! I was kinda likin' it myself.

I figure I’m fine the way I am. Changing what I look like outside isn’t going to have any real effect on what I’m really like inside so why bother trying to put up a false front for others. If they can’t take me the way I am, they’re probably not the kind of people I want to be around anyway.

I agree with you completely. The outside usually doesn't change the inside. For some people a tattoo can symbolize a kind of strength though. Something physical that was endured in the process of working through something emotional. There are many reasons people get tats. It's great to hear that you've stayed true to your beliefs. :)

I have heard as much. I once saw an interview with the band Every Time I Die. The lead guitarist was explaining how before he joined the band, he had gotten 'hard core' tattooed on his stomach. Then he got fat. I remember him saying something like "It used to look large, bold, and impressive. Now it just looks like my navel has a label."

And then if you lose the weight it turns to mud! I'll never be getting a frontal tat, no way no how!

Translation: Hot back bragger! ;)

I, for one, have never had a pretty back. (sniff)

Yes. Yes I am. And I am not ashamed. You can't hold me back, Jade!

When I first saw that show in the mid 70's Chuck Woolery from Love Connection was the host.

Love Connection was such a set up. Everything was scripted. I couldn't stand all that girley giddiness, it drove me bonkers. :P
