Hi!
I just recently bought the Pathfinder Beginner Box from a local store.
I have never, ever played any ttrpg before and I bought it to play with some people who also have zero experience.
I'm trying to build some characters to get a hang of the process, now I've come to building a rogue, and I think I've got most of the basics.
One thing that bothers me though, is that on page 33 in the Hero's handbook, in the equipment box in "Rogue suggestions" it says the following:
"In section H, write +3 in the Armor box. Add +1 to the Dex box."
So, the +3 is quite obvious, the studded leather armor give +3 protection.
But the +1 DEX? I have looked through the armor section and the rogue section and I don't seem to find where the +1 is coming from.
Can someone help me out?
And it would be nice not to just get the answer, but also if I could get a clue for where in the book this information can be found.
Or at least how I calculate it.
For now I just ignored the +1 DEX and just put my ordinary DEX in there.
