In many recent posts I note that groups seemed often to be comprised of PCs like Half Vampire Fighters, or Human Werewolf Clerics, etc.

In my games I don't really allow anything beyond the base races and classes (although perhaps an occasional prestige class here and there is allowed). My players never complain about this and employ extra effort to customize the background of their characters. Our games always seem to be highly creative and unique, and I don't believe the roleplaying suffers either.

I simply enjoy the archetypical roles more than the fantastical. A werewolf or a half-vampire pc is completely lost on me.

Am I alone in this? Just curious.

I am looking to start or join a group of mature, experienced rpg'ers in the greater Milwaukee area for 2-4 weeknight sessions a month. I have 1-2 friends that may join the group as well.

I am an experienced DM who enjoys playing as much as running the game. I am looking for a group interested in good role playing, not just rolling dice and killing stuff. Currently I am thinking of beginning a D&D campaign set in Monte Cook's Ptolus, but I am open to other suggestions.

Please email me at disziplin@gmail.com if interested in further information.

I am a 20+ year verteran of D&D and am looking for a group to join, perferrably on the west side of metro-Milwaukee.

I am interested in d20 Modern, Future, and Call of Cthulhu as well, but would prefer D&D. I would like to find a group that meets regularily and that has a blast while playing. I have served primarily as DM but am eager to play again as well.

Please respond here if interested and tell me more about yourself or your group, when and where you play, etc.

Thanks!
