Video of Session 11 is up

I asked Rob some questions about minis, map's, etc and have included his response in my preparation blog post. He does talk about the pre-gens.

Video of Session 10 is up...not the greatest session...players seemed a little tired and not that focused, but still we moved the story foreward and had a fairly good time.

I have posted more video of my group's Skull and Shackles adventure. Some of it may be NSFW, but overall it is a pretty high energy family friendly game...

Lost my foot this week...whoever thought these 'optional rules' would be fun was crazy...

We are playing it very much on the heroic side of pirating--we treat our crew well, we are against slavery, and we don't inflict all that much damage on the locals.

Here is a link to the Colors of the Kraken's Keg the most infamous ship in the shackles!

Here is a some youtube footage of our weekend game

Thanks, David S.

I am playing a gnome bard. Compared to the players that have min/max'd pirate archetypes, I am struggling early...I read the above as inspiration for how awesome Kryptonite may one day become.

This is something that has come up a few times already at our table.

I personally think of most pirates as Lawful in nature--they believe strongly in the causality of natural law--wind, burning sun, storms, etc. They have a strong heirarchy--in some ways very similar to the rules governing Devils. But, most importantly, they have a CODE:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirate_code

I think playing a Monk who was FERICIOUSLY devoted to this code would be awesome! Not just because of the obvious role play opurtunities that may open up if you really forced the issue on 'stricking one another' but also because of the social fun that rules on Dice & singing would open up for puns and what not.

Most of my table disagrees, and see's pirates more as the Chaotic Johnny Depp type characters--but I think that he is an exception, even in the movies, to the rule & not the standard for a Pirate's ethical position.

WotC has announced a fairly interesting looking Event for this:
//begin http://www.wizards.com/DnD/Event.aspx?x=dnd/4new/event/gameday
The D&D Vault of the Dracolich Game Day is a multi-table roleplaying event that brings communities of players together for a shared gaming experience.
//end

do we have additional updates for WBG2?

We ran WBG for International TableTop Day at Brookhurst Hobbies and it was a huge success and would like to schedule a similar event for Free RPG day this year...

Just finished the first session. Here is the photo review:

We are managing our campaign on Epic Words, is the a standard tool for Pathfinder? Or are most people using Obsidian portal or something else?

Just had our first session...

Krezton Human Sorcorer
Krass Elf Wizard
kSalty Human Gunslinger
El Kanejo Agile Human rouge
Kryptonite Gnome Bard
Krain Dwarf Fighter

but it did not really matter, anyone can SWAB THE DECK!

Name/Race: Krassimir / Elf
Class/Level: Wizard / 1
Adventure: Wormwood Mutiny
Location: Main Deck
Cause of Death: Mutiny. Losing initiative to pirate scum.

The Gory Details: Krass had been having a hard time of it--forgot his chore & had been tied to the mast, had to hide to prevent loosing his shoes to bullies, etc. In any event Kreztin the Cook had convinced Master Scrouge to harpoon one of sharks eating the keelhauled victems body--the plan was shark fine soup for dinner! In an effor to win back the respect of the crew Krassimir volunteered to throw the Harpoon at the shark. Instead, he turned and attempted to kill Master Scourge! Kreztin cast mage shield to protect Scrouge who won inititive & struck Krassimir down.

S&S Rule #2, "know when to mutiny"

The best thing about this discussion is the regularity of the updates.

Seriously, the fact that we are getting fairly regular updates with honest substantive information is very encouraging.

I would actually, love to see them go BACK to the previous Alpha testers once the polish has been [re]applied and make sure that they actually did what they had hopped to do.

I am more than willing to wait for another round of testing to get a product that works.
