Armor for a Large character costs more. Check the Equipment section of the CRB.

Look at this section of the quadruped trait:

Benefit: Members of this race possess four legs and two arms, granting them a +4 racial bonus to CMD against trip attempts and a +10 foot bonus to their base speed. In addition, members of this race use weapons and armor as if they were Medium (instead of Large)
my question is that since large quadrupeds use medium weapons, would the damage/cost for weapons and armor be the same as buying an armor or weapon for a medium character?

Anyone??

Actually nvm that question I already got the answer. Here is my other question: if my character is a large quadruped, does the cost and damage stay the same as a medium weapon/armor/shield?

I have a very important question about the drider race. Would the strength be +4 bcuz I'm large and I have advanced strength in that race?

ok ill just put away my two tower shields and hold my axe if i need to climb stairs or anything like that.

Darkorbit, the ability would apply to both shields. However, note that shield bonuses do not stack - there is no real benefit to wielding two tower shields in the rules.

The reason people use two (heavy or light) shields is to TWF shield bashes, but those are by the rules not allowed with a tower shield.

. Ok. First off, I'm using tower shields and I'm using them as improvised weapons. And if u get the feat Two Shield Fighting by 4 Winds Fantasy Games, u can apply both shields to ac while in battle. But thanks for the clarification on the shield bonus thing.
Yeah, with a bunch of house rules and 3pp material you could probably pull it off but it'll be harsh. See my update on the armor check penalties for the first 5 or so levels.

thanks but im fine with the first few levels being hard, i just wanna get good when im bigger

Ok then I decided to put my most recent question In a rules question thread as it will be more effective there. And I decided to use tower shield specialist.

But what if u are holding two shields? Would the bonus apply to each tower shield or just one?

No it says: At 3rd level, a tower shield specialist gains armor training as normal, but while he employs a tower shield, the armor penalty is reduced by 3 and the maximum Dexterity bonus allowed by his armor increases by 2. The benefit increases every four levels thereafter as per standard armor training; if the tower shield specialist is not employing a tower shield, the benefits to armor training revert to the normal bonuses. This means that while u hold a tower shield, your max dex goes up by 2 and the armor penalty goes down by 3 instead of the original armor training bonuses

I am wondering if this bonus doubles if u hold two tower shields.

ok this is what i mean. do the bonuses from armor training and the tower shield training stack? or does the tower shield training bonuses take out the armor training bonuses?

nope. two large sized tower shields. and cna u plz answer my seperate question that is above?

anyways, i got a seperate question too: Can someone explain to me exactly how the Tower Shield Trainig for the Tower Shield Specialist class works? The explanation isnt helpful

umm im talking about using 2 tower shields. my character is large too,

ok. yeah insead of armiger, ill choose fighter at lv3 so i can also negate the improvised weapon penalties and have a higher bab. hp can be gotten from feats and stuff

isn't it better if u just do a normal barbarian? u are in a spellcaster group, so might as well NOT go mainstream, so choose whatever u want, whatever colors u pink, whatever floats ur boat.

Ok, I have another qustion. Since I am planning to use two TOWER shields, would it be ok if i take the improved shield bash feat? because it doesnt say in the feat that it has to be a legit shield bash. i am going to do an improvised shield bash

ok thanks detect magic ill stick with my current feats on working with two shields, but ill get those feats when i can

ok ilja.

Are there any Armiger guides?

What blade said, and what would be a good random starting age, weight, and height for a drider?

But can't I technically shield bash with a tower shield as I am a large creature?

Anyone?

actually, ill choose armiger, but ill start it at lv3 with the GM's consent

Hafllings can be very effective two weapon fighting sneaking rogues, thought it is arguable that their damage output is not great, but my brother plays one and he doesn't suck. Halfling a are also effective archer paladins (see the guides).

Generally a melee focused haflin barbarian, fighter, paladin, monk will not be effective, but may be fun to play for kicks and giggles.

good point, ur opinions are good.

If 3pp is allowed, the armiger could be of interest. It is the best defensive class in the game. A guy has one of these in a Carrion Crown campaign. He has an AC in the mid-high 50's, at level 12. He supplements offense with low attack and DPR, but being great at slamming people into walls via bull rush.

cant be too sure about that, cuz the fighter gives extra feats, so i can get all of my proficiencies to negate imprvised double weapon penalites

ok so 2d8, thanks ilja

Ok I'm planning to be a drifter for my race and a tower shield specialist for my first class. How much damage would a large creatures tower shield do as an improvised weapon? I'm guessing about 3d6, but I can never be sure

Ok thanx a lot

If you want AC, you will want a Tower Shield Fighter. Just for the sake of completeness, is the campaign going mythic at any point?

no i dont think so

thanks guys for the suggestions. I took out the magic part, and i found three fighter archetypes that interested me. Phalanx Soldier, Shielded Fighter, Tower Shield Specialist. Which one would be best for my idea of shielding my allies with huge shields, and using those shields to hit my enemies?

why isnt anyone responding?

try not to annoy the GM with your gunslinger. Have your powerful moments, but dont make it seem like the gunslinger is overpowered

Well, I would personally say that a pure "role playing" moment is when the character has to interact with his past or a social event that is linked to him, but does not require dungeon or fighting or magic skills to accomplish

Honestly, I would just imagine or human world with magic. That's how I would make my magical world. I would make the technology more primitive, like no gun use. Also, I would add more tension, like there is dark magic at play...

Hey everyone! I am making a new character for a new campaign. I am imagining this character as a creature bigger than everyone around him, defending his injured friends with huge magical shields that he attacks very rarely with. What would be the best race/class combination for this?? Thanks, guys

Ok thanks, but isn't it better if made here?

For future reference for everyone else who wants to make a new character and doesnt know their class, can someone make a completely full class list for me? including third party, prestige, base, core, utimate magic, archetypes, race/class archetypes, advanced players guide, etc. so basically everything. thanks!

ohh ok thanks

ok, then what would be closest animal to shota? i was thinking a megalania, but im not sure. and another question: do u get gold when u level up?

well that didnt really help because it just gave me the average lashunta weigt, height, and age

I need help wondering how I would do a starting age, weight, and height for my lashunta character. please help!

anyone?

can i join? i have a level 6 lashunta magus. we should all start at any current level 6 characters we have, and if we don't have one, a new level 6 character.

I need a GM who can GM a solo adventure (dawn of the scarlet sun) for my level 6 character on roll20.net. if u can, post the adventure name and i will post a thread which will say that it is me (my name is Rujan R.). Plz, i really need a GM. even better would be if you cna be my permanent solo GM and we can do solo adventures for a long time. thanx for your help if you can!

would you date a half-elf? i am a sexy mage, and I can make MAGIC happen.

And if you can, what animal (from any bestiary) would be closest to the shota
