i had the same problem. the fix is to first find and download the file in the error message (j2re 1.4.2.02), then uninstall whichever version of java you are using, reinstall java 1.4.2.02 (if you can find it) and then install dundjinni. you can then update java back to the current version. let me know if it works. ![]()

Evil schemes are afoot in Cauldron, a metropolis of merchants built into the caldera of a long-dormant volcano. To save the city, your band of adventurers must brave haunted jungle ruins, slay mighty dragons, and bind themselves to a layer of the infinite Abyss. Will their swords and spells be enough to save the Shackled City? bi-monthly on saturdays from 5 to 11/12ish up to four more players. two spots are already taken. (eric the red and kiri) open sources- pathfinder beta, any official 3.5 DnD books except the book of nine swords, weapons of legacy, campaign specific and evil requiring options software- skype, maptools v.1.3.b50 (both free) ![]()
ok, how about saturdays bi monthly from 5ish to 11/12ish? i'll consider eric the red, and kiri confirmed. i'll start another post to recruit a few more. for now, here's a few guidelines so you can start thinking about what kind of pc to make. feel free to work together to form a balanced party. Ability Scores- point buy, 20 pts, PRPG pg. 5 Race and Class- if of a standard race and class, you may also be a “local” which gives knowledge (local) as a permanent class skill and access to a bonus campaign specific trait. If your race and/or class is from a source other than PRPG, than you are considered an outlander and do not gain the bonus trait. Starting Hit Points- the racial option on PRPG pg. 14 Alignment- Non-Evil only
Starting gold- all PC's receive the maximum starting gold according to their class. ![]()
if you guys are interested, i am willing to run the "Shackled City" adventure path using the pathfinder beta. i've run it before so the prep time wouldn't be so bad as i am like many others with limited time. not to mention that it's a kick ace campaign. notes:
i am willing to take up to six players. open sources- pathfinder beta, any official 3.5 DnD books except the book of nine swords, weapons of legacy, campaign specific and evil requiring options software- skype or yahoo, maptools that's all i have for now ![]()
hey, i've been thinking of running an "e-game". i've used maptool and skype (both free) for a previous game. it worked out pretty well. the biggest downfall was getting everyone to show up. it's a lot easier for people to blow you off if they don't have to face you or talk to you ever again. anyway, what kind of game are you looking for. would you be interested in say... the shackled city? what day and time and how often.

first off, this is an amazing campaign. i encourage everyone to take part in its glory if the chance arises. i remember when seeing it at my LFGS and trying to decide if i should pick it up or not. the 60$ price tag was a big hurdle. every other book i owned cost half that. in the end, i decided to get it. to make a long story short, i wrote a post to find people to play it and made six new friends that played 3 times a month for over a year in which we had many great times. i got much more than my moneys worth. as for the original post...here's but one of our "great moments in the shackled city"... when the party went into drakthars way, there was a table that i rolled on to see what the graphiti on the walls said. since one of the pc's understood goblin, he was able to read it. "Snurk smells like dung." it said. we all had a giggle and one of the pc's mentioned that they felt bad for poor "snurk". a couple rooms later, the pc's were ambushed by a trio of goblins hiding behind over-turned tables. the first two goblins hit the unsuspecting party with their crossbows. the third however rolled a nat 1. his bolt twanged off his crossbow to land harmlessly on the ground. "ha ha, that must be snurk!" said one of the pc's. "yes...yes it is" i thought to myself. in the end, they killed the first two goblins and when they used detect evil on snurk after he surrendered, i decided that he was indeed not evil thats why the other goblins picked on him. after he gathered up his lucky bones, he ended up living with the party in their hideout (along with the mimic but that's another story)for the rest of the campaign. |
